Should be sacked tonight! That was rubbish and he was out coached again.
Beaten by a 2nd year side missing 13 of its best 22.
If Kernahan, MacKay and Swan are any good at their roles he won't be coach tomorrow.
Exactly the thing that should tell you last night wasn't Ratts' fault. FFS, Brynne Edelsten should have been able to coach that side to a win. Mentally weak doesn't even come close to describing it.
Won't make any difference though, think he will be gone. The club won't cop that and as others have said its just easier to blame to coach. Dunno if Malthouse is the answer, hell if I was him I wouldn't touch Carlton with a barge pole. A better run with injuries should see us bounce back next year regardless of who is coaching, but by bounce back I mean 4th - 8th. Teams with that sort of mental resolve will come no where near a flag.
It's funny how easy it is to get rid of coaches, but not players.
Carlton were masterfully coached by Ratten last night. The Blues led in disposals, clearances, contested possessions, inside 50's, tackles and scoring shots! There's not much more a coach could do.
The finger should be pointed at none other than Levi Casboult. 5 Behinds. Zero Goals. This bastard lost Carlton the game by wasting their opportunities. Now he's put Ratten out of a job.
Nice try, Casboult! You haven't got me fooled.
Harsh on a young guy playing his 5th game. Yep his kicking is atrocious but that can be improved, at least he was competing and getting his hands on it. I'd say there were many, many other senior players more deserving of a whack.
