Why make a ruckman a forward, which rarely works and failed before. Thornton showed to be a many times over a better KP forward than Hampson will ever be and even he's filling in time there until Mitchell develops. While not exactly Buddy and Roughie, Waite, who's certainly a great player but need him on the park, and Thornton have shown they can do the job satisfactorily enough for now. Choices aren't great. Kreuzer is the only ruckman we have any good resting forward hence he gets the 2nd ruck role for that reason. Kreuzer, Waite, Thornton with Walker/Gibbs the Amigos will go pretty well.
Hopefully Mitchell, being a fair lump of a lad, with come on and play some decent footy as did Talia and Butcher did this year in their 2nd years. Be a good support at this stage if that occurred.
