I'll bet you that we'll see a completely different Lucas next year, or we won't see him at all.
Scotland wasn't always this good either. Got to give Lucas a chance, folks! You don't dump a first-round midfielder who had a couple of injury-limited first seasons because he's not as good as your most underrated veteran midfielder!

We're not talking about dumping him, we are talking about the possibility that GWS have already snapped him up.

As for Scotland not being as good, whilst that is true, he always had the courage and the kicking skills were always good. Gotta attribute his good season also to the fact that now he is surrounded by a better team.

i agree we need an inside mid, the top 4 teams have inside blockers that allow their star men to do all the damage. need someone to do that for judd in particular
What about that Brock Mclean guy who was B.O.G. in the VFL every week? Is he AFL listed?

There was no way in hell Ross Lyon would have walked out on Stkilda either.
How embarrassing for you.

Goodes to GWS, Fevola to Collingwood, Cloke to Fremantle, Cooney to West Coast, Camporeale to revive his career at GWS, Ray Chamberlain to be rookie listed by Adelaide, Garry Lyon to sack Mark Neeld.

All will happen because nobody expected it to. :thumbsu:

Lots of hostility here towards that trade. You lot have Warnock as a #1 ruckman and Hampson as a backup. Warnock will always be a much better #1 ruck than Kruzer and Goddard is a much better KPP than Kruezer. Why wouldn't you want the trade to happen? All win for you. GWS gets a ruckman, Stkilda gets picks to rebuild with and Carlton gets a KP forward who can mark and kick goals in big games.

Bugger me, you're like an apprentice tradie with a shovel - just don't know when to stop digging that hole.

Interesting comment by Ratts, I figure the following could be up for trade:

Hampson
O'Hailpin
McClean
Lucas
Davies
Joseph
and maybe Curnow

Who we will get beats me, we need a forward, I would like Westhoff if we can get him.

Why would we want another Waite type player?
What we need is a gorilla, but where we find one is another question I do not have the answer for, I don't think Dawes would leave collingwood, so put a line through him I'm thinking

Isn't it obvious that Gibbs, Kruezer and Waite are obvious ins for our best 22? That means three players from last night have to come out.

Russell has had injury problems but finished 2nd(?) in the 2010 B&F - there's another, fully fit in.

A brave effort last night, but far from our best 22 for 2011 and going forwards to premiership glory in 2012!
Exactly!

Cannot believe how dumb people can be, to read so much into such a blatantly obvious statement. Whether Carlton are active in trade week or not, there is no chance this 22 will play together again.

I have some magic beans for sale if anyone is interested.

Psst. Just a hint for you, "Oh Dear" knows Gubby pretty well.
Well with all the Goddard to Carlton crap that has gone on in years gone by on these boards only never to eventuate, and the people who have done it, all say book mark it, so pardon me for being a tad defensive to your post mate

I am thinking the actual Ratts quote is what I read in the Hun:

"and that playing group won't play together probably ever again because we need change to go forward and succeed"

Pretty harmless when you get the whole text
