how many games would we have won over the last 4-5 years if fev wasnt around ?

We have no forwards & none coming thru - fisher cant kick, wiggins, russell, hartlett, edwards have managed a handful of goals between them throughout their less than spectacular careers. none of them take their direct opponent away from fev meaning he gets double & triple teamed.

so what if he cracks it, he's still only human. at least lately when he has had a bad day he's at least come out & tried harder after a break.

was shoving hudgton any different to the jumper punches that get dealt out in frustration every game that dont cause a free kick or a 50 ?

cos he's fev everyone goes nuts - but then if he kicks a bag we're all "he's the greatest"

he cant win us every game, just as judd cant - but without him we'd be in more trouble than a 1 legged man in an ars kicking contest

Good post that, Max really just seems to know how to niggle Fev the right way. On Judd, it still amazes me how good he is. His performance in the last quarter was magnificent and the way he can so consistently win contested ball and clearances is unbelievable. Also its easy to forget Gibbs is in only his second season, how good is he going to be?

Hats off to Ratts re the bolded bit. On that score, it's rumoured that the Hawks have the most room remaining in their salary cap out of all of the clubs, because of that sort of attitude. I think i remember reading about a few Geelong blokes being happy to play for less than they could command elsewhere too. It was exactly those circumstances that led to Hammill leaving and most Blues fans would be happy enough (in hindsight) with how that panned out.

Fev's attitude looked pretty ordinary on the tv last night. It seems to me that more and more Carlton people are thinking "when is this guy ever gonna get that out of his game". The free/50 he gave away genuinely turned the game.

There's every chance that the powers that be will hold firm on Fev's contract terms, on the reasoning that if we let him go then at least this is a very good draft to have some extra picks, and there's plenty of good forward prospects.

Sticks said on Tripple M yesterday that the Contract will be on the table until Wednesday this week. Presumably if Fevola hasn't signed by then goodnight.

I have been a massive Fev fan for years now, but his performance on Friday night, his cuddling up to all the St Kilda players after the game and his carry on about his contract is giving me the sh*ts. I say f*ck him. If he doesn't want to be at Carlton, will not give his all and will not be a real part of the team, then we don't want or need him.

If the contract is not signed by Wednesday, take it off the table, tell him we will playing in the Ants for the rest of the year and he will be traded to a team of our choice at the end of the year.We don't need him if he doesn't want to give 100%

A trade to Freemantle for Warnock and reasonable draft pick might be a good way to go!!!

On contract talks - saying the club needs to draw a line in the sand. Saying anyone who wants to leave the club for more money then they can go. Says he loves the club, and all the players should, and with the group we have coming up none of the players should be leaving for a bit more money, and if thats what they want then they shouldn't be at the CFC.

Ratts shouldn't get involved in public slanging about Fev's contract. It helps no-one and can only push people into a corner. This is Icke's job and Ratts needs to let him do it quietly behind the scenes.

He was talking generally, but its clear what his feelings are on the matter.

Anyone who would walk out on the club just for some extra money shouldn't be at the club. Echo's what Roos said a week or so ago, that these big players don't leave for money, they leave because they want to leave.

Fev doesn't want to leave so the deal will get done. Hoepfully sooner rather than later.
