What would be J.R.'s motive? The only time he ever was anything remotely heel is when he did that "shoot" interview way back in '96 on RAW which introduced the fake Razor Ramon. There is video of it on youtube but the sound is shithouse.

He also turned heel in 1999, which was a longer and more pronounced heel run that the 1996 thing (and that had even more of a base in reality).

I really hope there isn't a 'big name' leader behind the whole thing. There doesn't need to be, it would take away from the rookies in my opinion. The storyline should be all about them taking it upon themselves to get back at management. With a big name behind them, chances are we would never actually see the likes of Tarver or Sheffield apart from group scenes.
Best option would be to have Barrett as the 'leader'. He is a better talker than the majority of established wrestlers anyway. It would make the most sense and would give him a great shot at becoming a genuine headliner...Barrett vs Cena, Barrett vs HHH.
