The ending is ****ing epic, just watched it online.

Spoiler:
Cena vs. Punk in the Main Event, Wade Barrett comes down, and the whole NXT Season 1 guys come through the crowd and **** the whole place up. They kill everybody, and rip the ring down, basically. nWo style. The crowd is stunned, the kids are crying, and Barrett and Dragon look like bonafide stars. Tarver actually gets a chance to punch somebody, and Dragon kicks CENA'S HEAD IN.

I just hope they follow through with it.

Just after watching this i was coming on here to start a thread was beaten to it. But i must say i marked the **** out on this weeks show first time in a long time with the WWE but i must say things are starting to look up now.

This was awesome. I think this is the start of an NWO like group.

Either that or a new brand similar to ECW. Come as a complete shock i thought there would only be 3 of them to continue on but the whole group wow i have never been so surprised well done Vince this is a smart move :thumbsu:

This was so F***** epic. Some of those guys look like they could be decent, good size about them.

I couldn't wait until the Foxtel airing, so I decided to watch the ending on YouTube, and it was indeed quite epic. Lawler bringing back the old "Anything can happen in WWE" line before the final match proved subtly prophetic. Really opens up a whole range of possibilities.
The whole ending was one of the best things to happen on WWE television in years, but two moments in particular stood out for me:
  • AmDrag spitting right in Cena's face and then kicking his head off
  • Justin Roberts selling the tie choke like death
Classic :thumbsu:

As an aside, I thought CM Punk shooting Cena with an imaginary arrow during his entrace was a nice touch, as was the short sequence of chain wrestling interplay between the two in response to the "You can't wrestle!" chants from the crowd :D

This is the best segment on WWE television since the end of the Attitude Era!!! It was 100 times better than I expected!

That was great :D:thumbsu: The NXT rookies smashing everything inside and outside the ring was hilarious. Loved it and CM punk charging back into the ring was great as well. Looking forward to RAW's next episode.

I dont watch a lot of WWE any more, but what is with CM Punks mask?

He lost a match at the recent Over the Limit to Rey Mysterio, where the stipulation was that if Punk lost, he must be shaved bald (there was also a counter-stipulation that if Rey lost, he'd have to join Punk's Straight Edge Society). The mask is his way of covering his baldness. Apart from during the hackjob haircut that was done live on PPV, Punk is yet to be seen properly bald on WWE television.

Awesome ending. This is exactly how you set up a faction. Vintage nWo. The only thing I have a mini-issue is whether the cattle was worth it. Imagine that with a few established stars/up and comers.

Loved every part of it though. Barrett coming in slowly, attacking both faces and heels and then just utter carnage. No commentary gave it a great eery feel. Loved Punk coming back in too, sold that they were there to kick ass rather than just be heels perfectly.

That was an epic ending to Raw. Probably the best ending sicne Mick Foley won the title on Raw back in '98, when Stone Cold returned out of nowhere (after being injured for months) to smash the Rock over the head with a chair helping Foley win the title in the loudest pop the WWE has ever had. If you dont believe me youtube it.

Original superstables are the lifeblood of many of the great storylines. The nWo, Dx etc. The problem with the NXT thing is that they are all new and none of them are maineventers. All great heel stables need a mainevent leader. What's the point of a superstable if none of them can be the WWE or world champion? The obvious one is Triple H, when he returns. He's wanted a heel turn for months apparently.

They will get old quickly without a genuine big name to be the "leader." Triple H will definately be heel when he returns. The question is in what role? He'll probably returns as a babyface, then turn on somebody, within a few days cementing where they go with him.

I also love it when something so evil and dramatic happens that even the heel (CM punk) is made to look like a good guy when he came back into the ring to take all the rookies on. When that happens you know it's big because the new storyline totally transcends whatever was happening before and CM Punk comes out of it with the sympathetic side.

I love it when something like that happens. Its like the old days when Jerry Lawler used to favour the heels as a commentator, but occasionally, something so evil would happen that even the heel commentator Lawler would say, "Gee this is not looking good. I can't condone this."

That would some serious chunks.

Why do they need to play lackeys to a big name? Especially Triple H.

Agree that Foley winning the title was epic. I remember jumping around the room screaming as a young boy (8 years old, lol) when it happened. Was insane.

Also, with this whole NXT stable situation, I don't think they need somebody like a Triple H to run with them. A couple of mid-card to new maineventers to join, basically a group trying to overthrow the old faces of the mainevent scene. (Triple H, Cena, Orton, Edge etc).

It was ok, probably would have been better had I not expected it and had it not been built up so much...

The whole thing was pretty messy, but that has to be expected when you have 8 guys all trying to do the same thing. Barrett looked good leading the rest of the rookies in the attack, while both Sheffield and Gabriel had their moments (the 450 splash actually looked nasty and not just flashy). Tarver looked a little lost at times, but he still had more presence than the rest of the guys. Let him talk and he'll be good.

I can't say I liked Daniel Bryan's work though. Him yelling at Cena and then spitting on him was unnecessary, and then finishing it off with a very weak looking kick...Obviously he will be the one to stay around after this storyline so they had to build him up, but it all seemed very over the top and screaming 'you're not better than me' kind of takes away from the group mentality of the rookies in my opinion.

Oh, and who else liked the fact that the ring is essentially just a couple of old pieces of wood and some padding?

Truly incredible !!!
Been watching wrestling since WM1 and have NEVER seen anything like that......it got so vicious at one stage i was wondering if it was a shoot or not !

It gave me that crook feeling in the guts that i havent had since ADRIAN ADONIS and CO beat the piss outta RODDY PIPER.

Also , a hilarious thread on WRESTLECRAP photoshopping ring announcer ( Justin ) being choked by his tie !!!!

Some of the crowd bought it too. You could hear kids screaming :D.

Shame randy is a face he would of been a great leader of these dudes.
