Developing into a good show this. JV is a scene stealer and almost too unbelievable! There's plenty of back story to surface, and now we have an agent involved there's a few layers there. The brothers will give some good story lines too. Sopranos meets Entourage ain't so bad when the Hollywood stuff is more a distraction than anything.
 
If you look at the show as a whole its really not extraordinary.

Some of the characters though are very well acted and charming such as Ray's brother Terry.

And as I said in a previous post, the show really does have some great individual scenes.
 
Still loving it after 3 episodes, and can't wait to get stuck into the 4th today. Dominating in the ratings as well, so much so that it's already been renewed for season 2 by Showtime. Must be doing something right.
 
Ray's relationship with his Mrs reminds me of something.

It had success written all over it from the trailers 6 months ago.
 
I'm talking about the unlikeable characters in both. At the end of the Sopranos when they were all sitting down to either Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, I was hoping a bomb would go off and kill them all.

I dunno about this show. I'm not willing to give up on it yet, but it's not doing much at the moment
 
Still going strong for me, but I hope they focus a little more on Ray's actual job in Hollywood and balance it up a little with his family troubles.

Ray's character is hard to like and that's what's holding the show back.

Jon V is a scene stealer. The Brothers Donovan are awesome.

Mrs is painful and the kids...well they are clones from 'Homeland' aren't they?...may as well be the same actors and lines....

But yeh its been about a 7/10...bit more black humour and some likeability in Ray and we have a show.

Yeah, I really do not like Ray at all, it's quite weird to watch. I don't think they have setup his back story as well as a show like BB, which is why it's hard to understand half the shit he does. At least we found out that episode about getting r*ped as a kid by that priest he shot, some of the stuff he does makes a little more sense. It's a good show, but it's hard to like any of the characters.
