Amazing shot...it had to be CGI, you just would struggle to get the clarity of LA coming down through the hills with the smog.

It reminded me of the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz.

Yeh that was a lol from Avi re Mickey.

As much as you want Mickey to get the boot, he makes the show. Voight's performance in this episode was extraordinary...in actual fact the whole season. I have always rated him all the way back to 'Coming Home' (?) about the Vet that returns from Vietnam.

That confessional scene near the end was top shelf stuff from Schreiber.

Seeing his character completely stripped back and vulnerable after being stone faced and in control every episode.. i can't remember breathing for a good minute or so.. just brilliant.

This show certainly developed during S3, but now I'm not sure where it's going. Maybe Connor steps up. He showed a liking for the biff (and his mattress). He and Mickey worked well together. Hope the ugly daughter gets lost in Zzyzzx and never finds her way out of the Mohave Desert.
