i hate body hair on me. It’s messy, sweaty and just downright uncomfortable. Upon trimming on Sunday night I took it into my hands to get rid of it all and just shave it all off including my ballbags. Two days later and the area is as angry as a fire despite using shaving cream.

How do I tame this fire? I’ve heard aloe Vera been thrown around to calm down the area but long term I reckon I have to look at having the sack, crack and bikini line professionally done. I’m no Garry Lyon but I can do without a significant amount of body hair.

Are there many blokes here who keep themselves well groomed and how do you all go about it?

My new favourite thread.

Ever.

You sir, made a rookie error. There is a reason why women pay huge amounts of money to get others to take care of the downstairs.

Temperature is your enemy. Ice those ballbags post haste !

I just winced at the ballbags part. If you ever slip up with the razor, you'd face a There's Something About Mary situation.

Different way of getting them battered but the same result nonetheless.

Ballbags are fine. I just thought I’d throw that word in for effect.

Gonna check the freezer downstairs to see if there’s an ice pack.

I reckon I also made the mistake of shaving up at times alwhen you should shave down.

Ya gotta EXFOLIATE to get rid of those ingrowns

Any type of exfoliant including for the face. Actually bought some from Singapore last year that I’ve barely touched. I do recall reading something about exfoliating.

An exfoliator bar would probably be perfect for you but if you have a different kind that's ok. Don't do it more than twice a week or you'll rip your skin off. Try a nice warm shower to open up the pores and then have at it with the exfoliator.

I prefer this advice:
  1. Soak a clean washcloth in warm water.
  2. Press the washcloth against the ingrown area for three minutes to soften the hairs. ...
  3. Using sterilized tweezers or a needle, gently work out the ingrown end of each hair one by one. ...

There’s nothing gentle about number 3

I find a bit of wet and dry 600 does the job

Did you use a shaving brush?
Blade shaving any part of the body every guy should use a shaving brush to create a lather then apply the lather. Work the lather into the hair using the brush and then shave
Even if you use a shaving foam or gel, you should lather it and use a brush.
It exfoliates the skin and also softens the hair follicles.

Shaving brush will stop the nasty rash. You can buy them on ebay for about $2/$5 delivered

If the rash is there, use Vitamin E cream to sooth the area

ballbags are usually too wrinkly for anything with a blade to pass over them safely. trim to a safe length.
trim elsewhere too.

unless you have the body hair of a 9 year old boy, having an island of hairlessness around your tackle in the midst of an otherwise averagely-haired male body looks ridiculous.

I'm hairy all over, and I've never shaved my pubes. I'll occasionally shave my stomach and chest though.

I recently had my first back hair pop out. Fun times approach
