The way the umpire is graded is on correct calls, missed calls and incorrect calls. % is based on correct calls made/total calls made.
Maybe they should include the missed calls as well.

Agree. Totally! This is the thing that frutrates me and irritates me the most. I can take the frees, even the dubious ones except when you see the exact same free just 20 seconds later not paid going the other way (invariably with the first team taking the ball away to score).

Only time he doesnt support the umpire is when he has no choice because the umpire completely wrong. If the umpire hadn't blown the whistle at all he would have backed the umpire on that call as well

Yes, and if you read his justification, it was basically a barely detectable technicality. So for consistency's sake, they should be paying every technicality. Let's see, I would expect 357 frees per game - that should slow it down more than the sub rule! Geischen is a ****-******* ****** of the highest order.

Ray Chamberlain should be hung, drawn and quartered - metaphorically, me thinks not!

If I could be bothered in my old age, I would have jumped the fence last weekend and thumped Chamberlain and Nichols, but what's the point. Even if I injured them enough to terminate their careers, two more peanuts would pop up the next week. How can umpires at a local level more often than not get it right and "engage" the players and sometimes the crowd, but these AFL-types make 20-80,000 people per game want to skin them alive?
