Forgotten anybody obvious? Hannebery doesn't quiiiiite make the cut yet, as much as I like him. Will no doubt break into the team at some point though. Meredith is coming off a long-term injury. I guess the same could be said of Johnston, though. He's borderline (I guess it's odd that I've got him as a starter then!).

Best case scenerio, we get G.Rohan for pick 6 and Talia for pick 14, Mumford for 39, and kennedy for our other 3rd round. leaving us with picks 6 for rohan 14 for talia and 28 on another kid. The best way forward for next yr i think is to develop and allow our youth to play.

FB: Smith C.Boltton TALIA
HB: Malceski Grundy KENNEDY

C: Meredith Kirk Jack

HF: Moore Goodes ROHAN
FF: Vespremi White Johnston

R: Mumford Mcveigh R.Okeefe

INT: Seaby, Hannabury, J.Bolton, Shaw
Emg: Mattner, D.Okeefer, Bird, Bevan, LRT

This is the best way forward to the future, drop guys like richards, who i think is pathetic, and give young kids like TALIA(if we're to get him) a go. Malceski will be back next yr after a big pre season, and kennedy who ive seen a bit of, is a big steal if we get him. 189cm 90kgs, tough hard nut who can play half back with Mal.

LRT isn't a kid:D ba-dum-tshh!

A bit harsh to call Ted pathetic, he holds his position quite well and never shows any fear when attacking the ball. I don't rate him as a key backman, but he plays the role of a floating defender okay.

I'd like to see Hannebery start on the ground ahead of whoever we get with pick 6 (Hopefully Martins, but I'm dreaming) and if we're lucky enough to nab Talia I agree he should be thrown in early just to let him get a feel of what is required.

That's madness, Kadafi. That's a good way to end up like Richmond or Fremantle.

Next year will be about giving the young guys a run in a well-functioning side. To do that, we'll be giving the young guys a handful of games, then cycling them out of the team for a while.

Also, even under your bigfooty-youngest-team-wins policy, how Bird gets a run ahead of Moore puzzles me.

Drop LRT? Are you serious?

With currently contracted players + Mumford:

FB: Smith -- C. Bolton -- Grundy
HB: Malceski -- LRT -- Mattner
C: Jack -- Kirk -- Shaw
HF: R. O'Keefe -- Goodes -- Meredith
FF: Vespremi -- White -- Johnston

R: Seaby -- J. Bolton -- McVeigh

I: Mumford -- Bird -- Richards -- Hannebury

E from: Pyke -- Bevan -- Moore -- Barlow -- Ablett -- O'Dwyer -- D. O'Keefe -- Playfair -- Currie -- Thornton -- Brabazon -- Heath -- Orreal -- Schmidt -- Gilchrist

I think I have everyone in there.

Obviously a few names are still to drop out (a few delistings in the emergencies list, I would imagine, maybe one or two of those lesser players will fidn a home somewhere else in the next 48 hours), and Kennedy is likely to come in an would definitely be pressing for a position in the starting XXII. You then factor in the fact that we are likely to have two first round choices in the draft and I think we are looking to have quite a well balanced squad.

LRT i dont rate, he has gone so far backwards the past couple of years. at 26 he still doesnt take a key postion forward, grundy has shown much more, coz at least grundy has taken the key forwards last season. Richards is not a floater his just plain pathetic. How is that goin to make us end up like richmond or freo when we have our best players in?? ive left out Guys like LRT, RICHARDS, ABLETT, BEVAN who i think have no upside what so eva, thats why id rather give all the kids a go. Also i rate mattner ahead of shaw, if it was my choice shaw wudnt be in our best 22, yeh he gets the ball and all but when u kick at 50% efficiency, dont care how much of the ball u get at that rate! I think my sdie has good balance, height in defence, grundy 194cm, kennedy 189, bolton 191, talia 195, mal 187 and smith whos short. pace through the wings in meredith and jack, and 2 markin targets in white goodes and johnsoton. And ROHANS speed??? something else!

Im sorry but if you havent seen any improvement in LRT's game over the last 2 games than i imagine you have seen all of about 3 games of our last 46. Your assertion that he has made no improvement in that time is nothing short of humiliating on your part.

No im sorry SWANS120, the fact that you assume and actualyl believe LRT is good, shows how bias you are. he is still doin the same thing when he was 21, clumsy as hell, gets beaten in the air by guys like porpleazure thats are 10cms shorter than him. say craig bolton wasnt in the back half, do u really think LRT can carry our defence the way bolton does?? because he bloddyb cant thats for sure, he offers nothing other than his height and that doesnt do muhc for us either these days. thats why i was happy with grundy given chb, at least he canr ead the play, take a mark and set up the play across half back. mate i watch more sydney and footy than u, i bet ya. ur a one eyed bias supporter. whats next?? u think richards is a gun 2
??? ur a joke

Wow.

Good luck to Roos & Longmire picking the best 22. This will be very hard providing everyone is fit.

haha, are you 12 or something? "I watch more footy than you!!! nyah nyah nyah nyah". Nice.

LRT played his role very well this year and im not alone in thinking that on this board i can guarantee you that. He makes mistakes sure, but no defender in the league doesnt make mistakes. His contested marking and spoiling has improved greatly along with his decision making. You sound one eyed against LRT more than anything, unwilling to note any improvement the guy has made.

I agree he is in our best 22 atm, but to rebuild and put together a future premiership team, i think he is one that will have to go or be squeezed out of the best 22 in the next yr or 2. same with richards, ablett and bevan. atm he will play every week, but if we r to get talia, id rather him int here at only 19 givin him the time and games to develop at the expense of richards and lrt, thats all im sayin!

and u think im one eyed?? SWANS120, not many teams wud even take LRT for free, so its clearly u that defends him even though his an extremely average footballer at best. soz to be statin the facts!

LRT more than accounted for Kossie, Roughhead, Johnathon Brown, and other key forwards at different points over the last few years. This year he has improved immensly. He was Norm Smith meddalist of the first half of the 05 GF. He can and will be a great player for us.

Endearing yourself to a board your new to. This is going well for you.

Also, by claiming you automatically know more about footy than "ignorant" Sydney footy followers just shows how ignorant you are.

Nice, AG. I had a feeling that was what i was dealing with.
