Someone reckons they emailed vs and that was the reply they got.

I didnt try it last year and the dt talk guys say it will work so im guessing its all good BUT just to be on the safe side why would you not put the C on a GC player and put them on the field?
It does say in the help section "Name your captain and vice captain each round, to receive Double points."

Kinda of silly to waste an EMG spot when the VC thing will 110% work. I used all my EMGs up last night in case one of them did crap. They were used on Dugian, Foley & Yarran. Very lucky I used it on Foley/Yarran. Now I don't get Foleys shit all over my Rd1 score and I don't cop Yarran's shocker. I'll take Duigan's score. Otten probaley wont score much better judging by his pre season scores and I think he'll be the sub.

Have a read of the Capt and Vice Capt rules and note the wording and the way they have put ONLY in capitals. You can limit the loophole within the stated rules by not allowed VC to kick in if no capt is picked.
Those who capt a non-playing player with an emerg to kick in will probably benefit from the loophole as its more difficult to restrict. Those who didnt pick a capt at all will probably not get any double points regardless of who their vice is. Thats the bug fix from last year i heard about.

Meh, selecting a VC by itself should work.
I just put D.Swallow captain (Bewick emg) as I've already got three out in midfield anyway. Just to make sure of it.

VS are aware of the loophole thus the wording of the rules. There's no way they can endorse cheating with a jeep at stake. A jeep that was shown off on tv during game one. Toyota won't want to be associated with this kind of thing regardless of what DT talk cosying up to VS. A level pitch. No capt then no vice is the bug fix they put in.

Gibbs as VC on my team already shows up with double points with no captain selected= LOOP HOLE OPEN!
There would be no way for VS to enforce it anyway. Vice is vice is your vice. They would need to change the way the rules are stated and/or how you pick your Vice and Captain each week. It will work. It's not a loophole.

Didnt waste a spot. Had no emg in MF, 100% confident all would play after Conca took the field...
Had no interest in a 4th ruck. Picked the cheapest possible so i could squeez in a certain player.
gday guys, i had gibbs vc, put swallow for gc captain, had curnow emerg for swallow. got the 294 for gibbs captain but it hasnt brought in my emergency score of 107 for curnow, i did change swallow to captain on friday. anyone else have this problem?
