Considering we lost Judd early, were missing 2 of our best link players (Gibbs, Yarran), had a ruck playing his first game in 18 months and we got moidered by the umps.........couldn't be prouder of the fellas.

Top effort from a young side that sometimes lacked composure in the crucial moments, which is understandable.

Plenty of positives to take from the game.

I always worry a loss like this after being so down all year, throwing everything at a win and just falling short can be so heartbreaking it kills them for the rest of the year

Barker is doing a good job. No yarran judd or gibbs, adelaide had a full side I think? There's no way the team could be playing this well in just a week since malthouse has gone, just proves he was poison.

Probably one of the worst umpired 4th quarters I have seen in quite some time... Umpires won the crows the game. Great character from all your boys today, especially with Judd going down early... Heads up, Blues fans.

Was fantastic to see us lower the eyes going forward a lot more. The boys are playing free football, I think we'll see the pressure lift and start to play more relaxed football.

Even though he was patchy today and far from at his best. I realized how much we need Matty Kreuzer. He is an absolute wrecking ball and when he hits he hits hard. His second half gave hope that he can be a serious player for us going forward injury free.

Regardless of the result, I'm so proud of the way the boys played. Played with heart and pace. Once they get used to that speed, I'm sure some of those errors will diminish. Graham and Cripps. The overlap. Lots of good signs.

It was always going to happen. The pressure valve has been released. The players are now solely responsible for their on field effort.

Barker has done all the right things though. He's released the players to play with more flair and just go for it. There's barely a structure to be found, just smart leaders (like Simmo, Carrots and Murph) directing on field traffic and a shit load of hard running.

Wonder if anyone is eating their words on Buttifant now. They didn't look unfit, in fact they far outlasted a top 8 team fitness wise.

2E on Betts too. Thanks champ, could not have handled Betts kicking a bag today. He owned him. Deserves B&F votes.

Plenty of positives. Murphs, Cripps and Simmo were great. Younger brigade stood up. Team played with pride and 2nd and 3rd efforts were a big improvement. BUT they need to build on this not go backwards. Very pleasing signs. Nick Graham's presence was solid and begs a question or two!

Very proud of the boys today, don't like to blame umps for loses, but they certainly didn't help our cause in clutch situations that really hurt us. So many positives, yet so much to work on as well, all in all "effort" was first class.

Plenty of positives. Well done lads. Looks like barks is a breath of fresh air.

New handball footy worked well. Fast and attacking. Liked it. Defended well for most of the game too. Great pressure on the ball for most of the game.

Will make special mention for nicky g. Played alright. Top class goal. Plenty of errors around the ball too. Some good tackles and body on the line. Definitely deserves a full seasons crack at it.

Sad way to see Judd go out. Thanks to the great man.
