Noticed that Mitch Duncan's won over 200 of his 300 games.

Comparatively, Carlton's Kade Simpson lost over 200 of this 300 games.

I know who I'd rather be :)

You could forgive Kade for not remembering all of words to club song, especially with many of the Blues major consecutive losses in a row over the journey.... poor bastard. On the flip side some of the Geelong greats wouldn't know the true meaning of hardships when it comes to the win-loss ratio.

Funny i actually thought this as well, would be shocked it if happens but stranger things have happened!!

Honestly reckon he might do that as crazy as it sounds.
End it on a high, reckon he played on cause he wanted to get to 300 then step aside.

Another snide comment from Bev about it takes the Dogs going down there to fill the ground… Lets hope its the biggest crowd since the Saints game.

Bevo clearly doesn't understand how ticketing allocation works.
Cats fill their allocation, oppo clubs get a certain number delegated to them that is on "the Bulldogs" not Geelong to fill.
Surely you wouldn't say something stupid like that out loud without thinking it through first.

You have to just laugh TC.

It appears many Doggies’ people are still furious with Baz, strangely.*

Now Bevo is irritated by Scott’s late changes too 😹 He was snarky, which was silly. Never reveal anything that has the possibility to go against you. Since when is a coach under the obligation to make the oppo coach’s job easy?

Just hope Scott makes some late changes tonight 🤭

Frankly, how much will this banter affect the game? It’s a press beat up for clicks + $$$.

*Trying to think of a player who left Geelong + supporters sooked about?
Our cheering for GAJ kicking that goal from the Ablett pocket for the Suns described us perfectly, I think.

You would think the cats won't be as bad as essendon were. When was the last game that the doggies were challenged let alone beaten.

Dogs have looked like flat track bullies tbh. Stats back it up too.
Been knocked off by all the genuine contenders (except GWS who are already a fringe Finals team as is) then they romp the shit teams.

Bulldogs results and their opponents position

Win vs Norf (Bottom 4)
Loss vs Pies (Flag contender)
Win vs Blues (Outside the 8)
Loss vs Freo (Outside the 8)
Loss vs Lions (Flag contender)
Win vs Saints (Outside the 8)
Win vs Giants (Finals team)
Win vs Port (Bottom 4)
Loss vs Suns (Flag contender)
Win vs Bombers (Outside the 8)
---------------------------------------------------------
Based on that we can see...
Bulldogs are 0-3 vs genuine Flag contenders
Bulldogs are 1-0 vs genuine Finals team
Bulldogs are 3-1 vs genuine Outside the 8 teams
Bulldogs are 2-0 vs genuine Bottom 4 teams

----------------------------------------------------------

Cats results and their opponents position

Win vs Crows (Finals team)
Win vs Hawks (Flag contender)
Loss vs Blues (Outside the 8)
Win vs Pies (Flag contender)
Loss vs Giants (Finals team)

Win vs Port (Bottom 4)
---------------------------------------------------------
Based on that we can see...

Cats are 2-1 vs genuine Flag contenders
Cats are 1-1 vs genuine Finals teams
Cats are 1-2 vs genuine Outside the 8 teams
Cats are 2-0 vs genuine Bottom 4 teams
---------------------------------------------------------

Looking at the two clubs, Cats form looks much more conducive to winning Finals against the best sides and playing deep into September, Dogs form looks like they'll get enough wins to be there but get rolled by genuine contenders. The next two games for the Dogs will show if the flat track bully label applies or that they are just starting to ramp themselves up for a run at it.

Cats Media is giving Bulldogs huge props in their ‘Opposition Analysis | Round 11 v Western Bulldogs’.

“Two of the most in-form teams in the competition are set to go head to head on Thursday night, with Geelong hosting the Western Bulldogs at GMHBA Stadium.

The Bulldogs are currently the highest scoring team in the competition through 10 games, holding the biggest percentage of any team in the league and winning four of their last five games.

With plenty of big names like Marcus Bontempelli and Tom Liberatore running around, Geelong will need to be at the top of their game to walk away with the four points in Round 11.”

While Geelong + Bulldogs are equal with 10 games played + 24 points, the Doggies are on 132.6% with Geelong on 123.4%.

One point to note is:
“Geelong however were sensational through the middle last week, finishing with a +13 clearance differential against the Power, their best differential since the Round 21 clash against Adelaide last year.

It was also the Cats biggest clearance differential on an interstate trip since Round 5 of the 2023 season.”

you know you're a properly great club with poverty teams are desperate to be your rivals
I remember a conservative US commentator said something along the lines of "Every American liberal has a fetish about being Trump's number one enemy".

It's a bit like that with the Cats - every other club seems obsessed with being our primary rival and the team we hate the most.

game day
