Where did I say we're a bad side? Just said we are done as a contender this year.If you want to boil it down, we had 90 seconds of silly, at the wrong time of the game.
We were outdone tactically for the first 20 minutes, and showed at least we have a Plan-B.
We're not a bad side.
He was unbelievable last night, our best besides Waite.Henderson > Carlisle

Good call MEB, Carrazzo definitely wont be ready and will need time in the 2's.Eddie was "shithouse" because he's not match ready. Carrazzo probably won't be either, so why would we bring him in without a run in the VFL? Surely that's setting him up to be "shithouse" against the Hawks?
My idea of our season being alive is the time we spend as a premiership contender. That's the time we spend as a top four chance. That's gone now.
Mick's inheritance from Ratten who had five seasons to change this.We have polish flexibility and class what we lack is mental strength holding teams at bay then beating them at the finish line.
Still listening to Crunch Time and Huddo, Wallsy, Robbo and Kingy all agreed that Hendo should've went forward in the dying minutes. Anybody disagree with that?
A glaring problem with that.Still listening to Crunch Time and Huddo, Wallsy, Robbo and Kingy all agreed that Hendo should've went forward in the dying minutes. Anybody disagree with that?
Couldn't fault naming Lucas who started well and had his chances. Mick said we needed a different balance that wasn't four smalls in Betts, Garlett, Armfield and Yarran. Betts could have been the sub. Wonder if we would be better off with a tougher medium such as Laidler. Need a kick like Laids in the team. Might see Laids next round.Yarran should have started. Lucas sub. What genius decided otherwise?
Judd cant defend so why would he be played in the backline ??ok i really think its time for judd to be moved to the half back flank he would be great back there and he just cant kick for goal so no use being in the forward line simpson back to a wing and lucas to the bullants to learn how to tackle and at least contest in the air and the ground. yarran needs a rocket up him thinks he can play like a millionire when the games on the line. casboult was great mclean was awesome. white great effort a bit slow though with him and henderson back there need a bit more pace down back judd would give that. laidler needs to come back in we know what hes capable of. malthouse needs to bring the sub onearlier and stop being so pig headed about not doing it. his tactics with the sub are ridiculous and have been a major reason why we have fallen short and couple of times menzel is the perfecr sub in my opinion and should be playing that role . but anyway we all need to settle down a bit and realise that we have the makings of a priemeiership side he
Judd kicking the goal would have iced the game at that point. 36 points down and with Carlton building a full head of steam, you would have seen a lot of dons players start dropping their heads... but they scored on the rebound and gave them a lift.
But hey... Judds a star with a load of runs on the board while Lucas is still a kid starting his career... guess some of our supporters like playing the blame game...
It was a bigger belting than Nick Riewoldt dished out to Henderson. Yet Lachie staged a genuine turnaround in form to go forward and kick three goals. In fairness to Carlisle Waite kicked 3 of his 7 on other opponents and another 2 when Carlisle left him to try and prevent another Carlton player from kicking a goal.
Sadly it is true but we're one "real" win away from changing that.
Next week maybe?
The reason Waite kicked 3 whilst on other opponents is because he wasn't good enough to play on him and a switch had to be made.In fairness to Carlisle Waite kicked 3 of his 7 on other opponents and another 2 when Carlisle left him to try and prevent another Carlton player from kicking a goal.
Wallsy just stated that the Carlton Coaches sat on their hands in the last 30 mins
I agree, can only remember 1 non decision which should of been paid (Judd caught someone red hot dropping the ball) but they dont pay that anymoreDoubt I've seen a better umpired game. Absolutely brilliant effort by the umps. Looks like they've told KB and his cronies to **** off wrecking the game. Top effort last night.![]()
