Lisle was pretty good.So it'll be...
Out: McKeever, ?, ?
In: Brown, Merrett, Maguire
Merrett to FF? So probably Lisle out?
Paperone would have been good today.

Can get that with a lot of dope(s).I asked for effort, and I got it.
Keeping with a top 4 team for 3 quarters isn't anything to sneeze at, and it's something to build on for next week against Geelong.
I really enjoyed Patersons though, a very nice ground even if it was a little purple.

Not that I've read through the thread, but we had 43 inside 50s to their 48.
I'm not to upset about that at all. It looks like somethings gone right.

( refer - purple hazeno suggestion of your friends/close acquaintances seated nearby of course!)
sorry 'bout the strike out - short cut key s in [] sorryThere were quite a few dopes sitting behind me today...they didn't know who they were barracking for, let alone who was playing!
Yup, it's what we do when we get in there that's hurting us at the moment. Cannot convert our chances.![]()
Guessing they will get home by 'parking' the car on one side of the Swan, stripping off then swimming across the river to a restaurant and phoning for a taxi home? [yeah wrong club but thinking they are the 'local' rules.]There were quite a few dopes sitting behind me today...they didn't know who they were barracking for, let alone who was playing!
Docherty hasn't impressed me in any of his games to date.
Don't quite get the hype to be honest for someone drafted so highly.
Easily well down the pecking order behind the likes of Yeo, Golby and Harwood. Not just tonight, but those 3 have each impressed throughout the season.
Maguire in means Merrett to FF?
Is Goose a better KPD than Lisle a CHF/FF?
Can anyone tell me with any confidence who McGrath's opponent was today?
I thought at times it was Clancee Pearce. If that's the case, then it might tarnish McGrath's game a bit. Pearce was very busy for them.
Things I learned from this game.
Fremantle are an okay team, not going to win the premiership though. They are hugely overrated, turn it over too many times, and the final margin of 40 points flatters them. The amount of times the young Lions were allowed to cut through the corridor, create passages of play, and make scoring chances was nice to see. If only our finishing was a bit better though, we might have been in with a real shot.
Vossy out-coached Lyon today. He absolutely destroyed him. We were able to have a spare man back for the long bomb, spread from contests quite well, it's frustrating that the players let him down. Too many turnovers, skill errors, kicking into marks, not lowering eyes, kicking for goal; all basic skills that shouldn't be this bad after a bye. Players need to work on their decision making and knowing when to make the right disposal.
Still a long way off. Wouldnt get too excited just yet.Not bad being 8.5 and 2 after missing your two best players (Pav and Sandi) all year, your second best ruckmen (Griffin) and your best small forward (Walters). Think Freo are better than an "okay team" if they are winning games with those outs.
Quality of game had a lot to do with the usual "bye hangover" and also competing against a team that was once again playing "flood footy".
Not sure if you could accurately suggest that one coach "absolutely destroyed" the other when your team loses by 40 points and is held to 6 goals.
