They have been inconsistent, but we haven't. I'm pretty confident we win this given the injury lists variation. A full strength Swans would be a good matchup, but I reckon we win this without the result ever being in serious doubt. Might only be 2-3 goals, but I doubt we'll be nervously screaming at the TV.
Speak for yourself, I was ranting last week for most of the game!

2:30 am First Bounce??!!

Again—not in college rolling home from uptown at that hour

Please consult me before scheduling these things!!

😝
I’ll have a chat to the big cheese for you. I’ll see if we can reschedule it.

I tipped Sydney, because I just can’t pick these types of games.

Yeah, I don’t trust this side away from home or against better than average opposition.
I have the same uneasy feeling.

What are we, 4th and 130.6%? Sydney 13th and 93.2%, injury-weakened and their Captain suspended?
:grimacing: <==gritted teeth.

It's the kind of Away game the Nicks Crows have a Nicks Knack of being Paddywhacked.
I'm apprehensive (and suffering from Alliteration Metaphor-phosis).

If Freo were to lose to the Suns up there today, we'd have the chance to go 2 games and massive % clear of 9th.

Tonight is important for that reason, and also to take advantage of an ailing Sydney side who've had the wood over us for years.

I still think we are too tall on that small deck, but confident enough to say we'll win by 4-5 goals.
Yep

Oh why do people live there [Sydney]?
They love a shithole with ridiculously skinny, double-floored "housing", city-stench, cockroaches and rats-with-wings?

If you Mickey-finned and blindfolded me, then flew me to Sydney, I'd know from the stink when I got off the plane that I was in Sydney.
It's a disgusting blend of stale urine, puke/faeces :sick::poov1:, "Restaurant"-skips-filled-with-grot, Industrial pollution and pigeon-shit .
I lived there on biz in 2000 when the Olympics were on.
My nostrils have never recovered.

No excuses tonight given the Swans' outs. These away games against average sides have been our kryptonite, so a win tonight will be a step forward. Especially given that Nicks has never beaten the Swans before.

Am I confident? Hell no.

Living in Newcastle since 2000, I remember the good old days when we dominated these South Melbourne “relocates”
I think they were as lost in Sydney as the visiting teams. Strange sized oval and stranger supporters.
Times have changed with some help from the AFL.
It's my first trip down the M1 for many years. So looking forward to some live Crows domination.
All things being equal ....we win!!...But not holding my breath as we are up against the AFL and their bloody umpires.
Well said, Elmer (any luck with Wabbit Season?).

Drive safe. The M1 N of Sydney was a nightmare last October and watch for the E-tag cameras!
I was unprepared, got lost, on and off the M1 and got fined a motza.

I dunno, I reckon the space weve got on the other grounds has helped space the talls out.

I can see them getting in each other's way

“It‘s 78 metres from the centre to the goal line at the Gabba. Everything is compared to the MCG; what do you reckon the MCG is? It’s 80.

“We‘re talking a two-metre difference at either end. So this obsession with the length of the SCG and the Gabba is totally off the planet.”

Healy said the interpretation that the SCG is shorter derives from when it used to be during his playing days.

“It (the SCG) used to be (tiny), when I used to play up there - the 50 metres was actually 45 metres, we just called it 50. Now the SCG is 77.75 metres from the centre circle to the goal line.

They love a grotty place with ridiculously skinny, double-floored "housing", city-stench, cockroaches and rats-with-wings.

Spot on. The place is a cesspit. I had to live there on and off for years and later visit from here every couple of months for business reasons. The best thing about the place is the road leading out.

Over the last few years we have been competitive in away games against higher ranked teams like Collingwood, Brisbane, etc but have struggled against the middle order away from home. The Swans have underperformed at times this season but are good enough to beat anybody, they made the GF for a reason.

If we want to play finals we need to win this one.
