Winning is a must, however I don't think it proves heaps. Beating a well coached in form Sydney of the past few years would be impressive but this team not so much.

Losing would be a disaster.

Nicks needs to start winning games against good teams not just being competitive. That starts next week against Brisbane.

Need to start actually using Curtin in transition, the bloke gets himself in great field position.
He competes and uses the ball well, it's time his team mates started having confidence in him.
He can't do much more.
Coaches are obviously seeing what he offers hence why he is keeping his spot.

Burgess flew over to Sydney last night, so I suspect it’d be Thilthorpe out given second ruck duties.

And I reckon playing tall is exeposed less on a smaller ground. Much more an issue on a big deck.

Smaller ground = less room:
= less space for the talls to lead into,
= more chance they will compete against/block each other
= even more one-metre panic handballs (at which flustered Crows are expert) to guarded teammates in congestion.

We used to play ok vs Sydney.
NOT recently, under Nicks.
