You know, it might be a bit forward of me, but I reckon that goal Joelly kicked was what kick-started our momentum at the end of the third quarter, which as we all know led to the heart-attack-inducing end that we got. Not to mention he was a part of that last play that saw Ash kick that sealer.

My point? If you're on Facebook and you have not joined the Joel Patfull Fan Club, then pooh to you! :p

(I'm hyped. I actually can't drive back to Toowoomba tonight because I am so wound up.)

That's what I want to see.

When teams go to the Gabba and don't play their best, they should get beaten.

Doesn't matter if you're supposedly one of the greatest teams in history, or if you're nine goals up in the third quarter, or whatever. Take the foot off the pedal at the Gabba and the Lions will beat you.

That's how we go forward as a team. Sensing weakness and ruthlessly exploiting it. We've seen it in patches, like against Essendon and that second quarter against Carlton, and we saw it from three quarter time tonight. That's the team we want to be.

What about the cool heads in that last minute. Black, Adcock, Zorko and McGrath all with great clutch work. And someone else who I'd forgotten.

Go Lions.

Merrett to Yeo to Black to Patfull to Adcock to Zorko to McGrath to win

Amazing win by the boys! so proud of their efforts today and really showed unbelievable character to get over the line. The last quarter is as good as the team has played in recent times. Today's win should give the team belief they can do this and beat the top sides.

Go Lions!!!

Biggest win since the Hawks in 1995, stunning comeback and I think the start of something special for the next 10 years.

He is amazing. Wouldn't even know he's a diehard Cats man, it actually sounded like he was willing us over the line.
He's not bad but Geelong were 10-1 so he's not going to jump off a cliff if they are 10-2.

hey folks

Just wanted to say well done on a simply brilliant performance tonight.
I have had to do this once already but I will put my hand up high in the air and say I gave your club no respect whatsoever, laughed at a few of your veterans, suggested McGrath should have retired a few years ago and arrogantly predicted a 40ish point win by Geelong

I was embarrassing wrong as can be and as much as it hurts to lose in such a poor/pathetically inept manor as what we witnessed tonight, I can't help but respect what I saw and applaud Brisbane for taking the game on and never conceded to defeat.
That is the stuff can seriously define a team in the coming year/s and I am happy to eat my humble pie but it's only fair I admit my arrogance and dis-respect I gave Brisbane and happy to take what ever comes my way because of it.

All the best for the year ahead and in a strange sort of way....glad it was Brisbane with the likes of Black, Brown & McGrath who gave Geelong a loss they truly needed in order to see what good (if any) could come from it for the year ahead.

When captain head ducker got that free kick against Golby and that great goose Hawkins stood next to Golby for a minute sledging in his ear, I thought there was no God. When the great goose Hawkins got a free kick against Golby five minutes later for head ducking I knew there was no god.

When the great goose Hawkins cracked under pressure and kicked a point, I became a believer again.

Voss is God

Wow, what a win. Just unbelievable. Don't really have any words to describe it. My voice is lost and I feel weak but that was just something special and glad I saw it. Would have been great to be there. Couldn't possibly be prouder of the Lions. We may not be the cleanest, quickest or most skillful team but we have heart and balls like almost no other. They just didn't quit. Well done, Lions.

Solid post. Thanks mate.

Huddo is definitely a commentator first and a supporter second. The way any man who steps into the commentary box should be. Best out there. So far ahead of the rest of the pack it's depressing.
