I don't disagree with your sentiment. But this year's ladder at the halfway point suggests that this time we might just buck the trend of percentage not really being a factor in how high you finish.

This year is slightly different perhaps.

Fair enough. Just seems to me that it's going to be a tighter race for the top four and the top eight this year.
