Thought Close really showed a lot tonight. Noticed him a fair bit and he was leading a lot better this week.

15 disposals, 8 contested disposals, 5 marks, 3 contested marks, 3 clearances, 4 tackles and a goal.

Was great to see him stand up. Took a very important and difficult mark in the last couple of minutes on the wing too. Wasn't ideal conditions for forwards but he played his role and had an impact. I think one part of Browny retiring is we can look forward to our forwards developing a bit quicker now that they are the go to option.

Would still love to see the big fella out there
