Sorry for the tardy reply FBB. Work and life...ya know..??

In my memory Serge was never 'nimble' or very quick, he was what would today be described as an inside bull. He was an extractor and tackler, but good enough to wear the Big V, Captain the Blues and win one or two B&F's. I'm almost 60, so I only saw Serge at the end of his career. I have watched a lot of old replays though.

From Blueseum bio

"A one-pace performer, he ran and worked as hard in the last minute of the game as he had in the first. He was a superb team player and a strong, safe mark; when Serge took front position or swooped on the ball at ground level, only a Mack truck could shift him. He wasn't quick, but he read the play superbly and revelled in the fiercest contest. "

Sounds a bit like Jack to me
All good BB thanks for sharing your memories of him and your description of him as a player much appreciated 👍

Just got reception after 2 days! WE WON?!??!?? YEAH THE ******* BOYS
don't get too excited - final goal still under score review..........

You sshould have heard my 10 year old when she looked up the ladder and saw we were "17th!!".

HA!

(Although it’s a little painful that at such a young age their expectations are so low).

My 9 year old is now quoting the Soup Nazi meme - No number 1 for you Adelaide! - from like 1,000 posts ago having zero idea where the meme comes from. It’s cute. Also I feel old.

Dow could well make way for Cripps or Cuningham but it could be the best thing for him to be given a four week block in the VFL to work on a few specific areas. It sure worked a treat for Weitering last year. Our VFL team needs to be looked at as a development academy not a death sentence.

What's Murph gotta do to make the list? Was some goal!
I’ll just go uppercut myself then.

Murphs goal goes without saying, had me squealing like a school girl,

No ragrets

The Freo autopsy is interesting reading....apparently Margetts won it for us. Not one mention of the 40 push in the back frees Kruezer should have got though.
Grudging respect for ED and Murph's game and 'that Walsh kid is a ripper'

Oh and they have their 6 best out through injury, but we have only two. Apparently they have never heard of Doc or Cunners...

The problem for a young coach will be managing the Carlton Board and associated money men. Teague match day coach, someone senior as the guy who manages up. Roos would be a perfect fit but he can’t only commit to 3 years needs to be in the role 5 years
The other issue I see is there is no pressure on Teague at the moment. It will be a different story if he appointed senior coach for 2020

Still have a big smile on my face!!! :D

What an awesome win
I was so happy I let the workers have two hours off this morning paid for.

We started at 9

Boys were happy 😊

Indeed, I'm sure Walsh would be extremely disappointed with his ball use yesterday. He's a tough young man, took some risks and they didn't come off.

Will learn.
We can give him some lattitude given the conditions

Just watched the first 3qtrs again. Will watch 4th later, And paid particular attention to obriens game, due to so many saying he had a good game. All I Got to say is your all on crack. Hardly hit a target, zero hardball gets, got rag dolled by some Freo dude on the boundary. What am I not seeing? Was his 4th qtr sublime?
