Thanks to our WA Blues. Freo fans that attended said you were louder than they were including in the first quarter. You helped drag them through exhaustion from being a man down.

Woke up this morning and spent 30 minutes agonizing over whether to go or not.

Miserable day, on my own, trying to save money.

Live a 30 minute walk from Optus stadium. Drive past it on the Graham Farmer freeway every day to work. Be good to get out of the house.

Ultimately decided to chill at home and watch it on Foxtel.

I just missed the game of the year. **** **** **** **** **** **** ****.
Have a good hard look at yourself Mal

That was a hard fought win.

We tried harde for longer and got the reward .

Just leaving the ground and the crowd are stunned both Carlton and Dockerss. It's a weird atmosphere.
Start singing Passy

LIFT

When your best player is unavailable.
When you best marking forward is unavailable.
When your best X factor forward goes down early.
That is when champions take the game by the scruff.
Thank you Marc Murphy, thank you :)
clifford speaks truly........

Our tall defenders were brilliant off the back of some excellent pressure up the field, if we can keep that up Weitering, Jones, Marchbank will have a field day rebounding all day.

Wrote us off with no Cripps and giving up another 30 point head start but that is 3 games in a row they have shown the character to fight back from honestly pathetic opening terms (2.7.19 to 13.7.85)(19-112 if you expand to include until we score in the 2nd term) to a point where we should have comfortably won 3 in a row without them.

Today showed where Bolton lost his job, Curnow & Murphy & Walsh didn't get midfield minutes under him and today they combined for 96 touches and were the reason we got on top.

did we all hoild our collective breaths when Murphy held back on his first option (seemed like so ages) and then took the much better option to kick us into a memorable victory...even my 97 yr old dad got to his feet which is very rare these days
so did mine!

Marchbank’s best game

LOB, SPS, SOS all good.

Newman better than last few weeks.

Walsh still had 30 disposals, will break 50 in next few seasons.

Don’t mind the SOS/Kennedy combo swapping mid/fwd

Only dislikes were Dow and McGovern wasting chances to take regulation set shots, costing 2 goals

That’s why you don’t rush them out the door.
And let's not forget Jack Silvagni's crunch goal from the boundary... many goals nailed that needed to be this week and under so much pressure. Maturity is starting to shine through.

Soapy has been telling us for 18 months where his strengths are ...not many would listen ..
LOB has surprised me in a couple of matches now, with his take no **** attitude. Wolf in sheeps clothing in the mongrel scale.
No fear mixing it at all. Loved the exchange of jumper adjustments he copped and dished out with 3-4 Freo players in that boundary scuffle.

Top 3 in no particular order.
- JSOS huge on Fyfe. Limited his impact massively in the 2nd half.
- SPS huge all day, kept us in it early.
- Murphy really would back the clock, delivered when it counted
if you don't find a spot for kreuz I will come looking for you with intent.........

That was some sort of inspirational win from your lot. Showed way more heart than us. Could be a real turning point for you guys?
classy post :thumbsu:
