LOB is second guessing prior to the contest, that isn't Teague
That’s what he’s doing now. He was a beautiful linking player when he got the run in 19. Now he’s second guessing himself. I’m hoping that Power can get him back to what he used to be. If for nothing else that he would be a member of the unsociable players on our list. He goes anyone :)

Defensive Wing, perfect spot for him…up and down the ground, helping out the defence.
There’s plenty of life left in him

If LOB can come good he’s perfect for the other wing

Watching LOB on the weekend. You never say never but I think he, unfortunately is a bust. Was miles off the pace, couldn't get near it and seemed to struggle at VFL level.

Based on this, there is definitely nothing wrong with our tackling technique.
Also - Eddie is kicking goals and tackling hard, does he get another year? Looks like a top 10 small forward right now.

Matching Liam Ryan stat for stat more or less.

Thought we looked most dangerous when we moved the ball through a chain of handballs. Freo stopped that in the 2nd and 3rd and thats when couldnt get the ball out of the back half.

Kick in strategy needs work, so we dont get hit with repeated i50s.
Once they gridlocked us, through us going wide and along the boundaries they took away most of our chains & run, we clamped up lost some dare by playing too safe...
Our kicking in from goals has been a big problem all year and it was again on the weekend, we limit ourselves far too much with basically a short kick to the pocket or long to the boundary lines, we have gone back to this...
We seriously lack some better strategic methods in kicking out we should be using a variety of areas now that the man on the mark is back 20metres, we’re not taking advantage of it, there’s many different plays than the two we are only using...
There’s the opportunity to use the entire ground, innovate and set up some better methods using the pockets of space available to you...

Seems odd to me that we don't utilise Saad from kick in. He can burn anyone in the comp for pace, so could easily kick it from 30/40m out - he also has capacity to kick the thing 60M+. Why not use that weapon, sit our ruckman at the targeted area with a winger or forward pocket near the contest and have Harry out the back one out inside forward 50?

Not saying we should do this every kick in, but some kick ins would be a good strategy

This x100.

We looks unstoppable chaining handballs in the first and last. The problem is 1-dimensional play out of the d-goal square. It’s like we do it to force a contest up wing/HBF to go to the boundary. Oppo twigged on it quick, with loose players out the back, got the ball, went lateral to the centre and then their overlap structure was set while our blokes are trying to make up ground. Happens too often. At least if the centre is an option, you keep oppo guessing at what we’re going to do. Only then does the boundary ball work because oppo has to protect all sorts of space, allowing us to leverage our one-on-one match ups and at least going to a 50/50 on the ground if it does. IMO.

He’s been sensational the past 7/8 weeks, he’s wound the clock back, goals assists pressure tackles chasing and 1%’s

Agree. It's really not that difficult to use the whole ground to create space, is it?
For instance just some simple moves:
Shrink the ground by half and use the other open half to run into for the pass.
Run the wide to both sides and open up the middle for a short or long kick.
If the opposition run defensive zone across the ground, then use the holes to get clear kick. It's not rocket science....

Yes use your players strengths in the areas that are best suited to, Saad’s pace and rebound should be used in that 30/40 zone Williams Stocker...
Get these and others into better areas so can launch and rebound from the kickins once you get through then over a setup you open things up far better for ball movement and scoring...
Can’t be all the time like you mentioned but at least add some more strings to your bow because the opposition sets up from knowing exactly what we’re doing creating easier chances at goal for themselves...

Spot on, also on the loose players out the back you mentioned, it drives me nuts multiple loose players from contested areas or around the stoppages they feed it out, went inwards corridor side all night unopposed with ease and space, just far too easy...
