Torn between who we want to win this game. GWS (9-6) still have to play Freo (away), Port (away) and Sydney so if they lose this that's probably 10 losses for the year and game over. Geelong (7-7-1) has danger games against Hawthorn, Sydney (home) and us - and that's about it - so it would also be good if they lost today as well.

Carlton has eight players it selected in the first round of the national draft on its list. Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs and Matthew Kreuzer were all taken with selection No.1, Andrew Walker was pick 2, with Chris Yarran, 6, Troy Menzel, 11, Kane Lucas, 12, and Matthew Watson, 18. Shaun Hampson was taken with a priority pick straight after the first round (pick 17) so he can be included in this discussion.

Well no both teams getting 2 points was fair. Unless they could play the game some other time. Geelong and adelaide play each other in the last round. It would be interesting if they made that game worth 8 points

Unfortunately from our perspective both Geelong and Adelaide were pretty much given a win each because of our better percentage.

Not that any other outcome was fair, but it didn't help us at all.

We'll never do damage in finals until we stop relying on other teams to fall short.

Only result I care about this week is that we beat the dogs as it will go a long way to us chalking up enough wins to make the 8.

The 2 points for Adelaide and Geelong isn't something we should be concerned about football rightfully took a back seat. The only other option was to work on percentage of wins not points, but it wouldn't change things much anyway. If we miss finals it's because we lost games we a had a chance to win. Richmond, Hawthorn, Fremantle and Port come to mind.

I'm not sure but if you live by the sword you die by the sword so is it really worth it?
