No, you were being genuine. I was just saying that the team and club is quite capable of good acts such as tonight despite the image that gets portrayed about them in the media and the abuse that is directed at them from the crowd.
The Saints go alright.

Don't let other w***ers say otherwise.

Any chance we can learn how to handball to people wearing our colours, we've been handballing half volleys all year... there's no excuse for it.
Would help if we stopped kicking it directly to the opposition too.
I think our players are afraid... fumbling because they are afraid of physical contact... afraid of running into space and creating options in case their man gets it on a turnover... not taking the best and most dangerous options because they are afraid they can't execute.
McEvoy needs to play with more authority and crunch players standing in his way in marking contests and if we're going to kick it long down the line can we at least get equal numbers to that contest... after all we're the ones who know where it's going and choose where it is going.
Now let's all look forward to another edition of St Kilda Gabba nightmares next week.

Chin up boys! Us supporters play a big part when a club is going thru a rebuild. Stick fat sign up for next seasons membership and enjoy seeing the younger next generation come thru. We've played off in 4 granny's in the past 16 years so I'm sure the day will come soon enough when we are challenging again, till then keep supporting the club and turn up to games

The membership department will have to work overdrive to keep people on board. Performances like that don't help.
A lot of people will no be thinking "Here we go again"

I never realisticly expected a win from tonight but what occured was just a disgrace.

We are a better team then this and its just inexcusable to put on a performance like this.

Very competitive first quarter a half and then most of the team was just like "ceebs" and then everything went wrong.

Woo hoo, first time I got to see the boys on the big screen instead of my I-pad or I-phone this year.
Think I'll switch back to the mobile network, that way at least I lose coverage everynow & then.

Good to see "unbiased" views are in effect here. Welcome to whipping town Sippa.

All your fault we lost by 100, couldn't hit a bloke with a hand pass 10m away and were undersized in defence.

Give me a spell.

Did Sippa even play last night?

Yes entirely Siposs fault that we were thrashed last night. Thank God Tom Curren played a blinder last night and therefore has no criticism, or adverse comments, on his game. His two possessions (one kick / one handball) were sublime and averted an even bigger loss.

If there is an upside to sipposs current situation if I can call it that , is that he was like pick 78 or whatever so it's cost us nothing and if he works it'll be a bonus. If not at lest he won't be destined to appear on the bad trades and wasted high pick list just a kid who didn't come on .

Don't think I'll bother watching a replay, hard to understand how we could only kick one goal after quarter time though.

I was expecting a loss but was still hoping we would at least be competitive. We're not the only team to get thrashed down there though so hopefully it's just a one off aberration.

At least Raph had guts

Exactly. However display guts and your skills get chastised. It's hard to get a winner anywhere.

Siposs had a shocker along with about 16 others. Yet he's the first to cop it? It's not fair and it doesn't address the real problem. Our current list situation means many are punching out of their weight class. It's the same old names putting in and they get slammed. They could easily put their feet up and say what's the point, I'll just get paid and go home. Many do that in their own workplace. If you want a quick fix, we're probably not the side for you. I'd prefer to give the current regime at least a chance to try and improve our situation. It sucks short term, but easily forgotten when you're moving north up the ladder.

Key stats: Marks in 50 Geelong 17 Saints 4
Inside 50s Geelong 62 Saints 26

This indicates to me that we defended quite well - despite being undermanned (we were undermanned even before Gwilt was injured) and that our problem was that we kept turning over the ball allowing Geelong to pepper it forward. We also didn't play the ground well. Probably inexperience of the local conditions but we simply did not take advantage of the breeze when we had it and we didn't know how to defend against it very well.

Just trawled through the references for the last time we copped a triple-digit flogging;

R4 - 2002 Geelong 5.2 15.3 21.8 26.10 (166) def St Kilda 1.2 5.3 5.7 6.8 (44)
