I’ve put more effort into bowel movements than the Carlton FC showed tonight, ****ing ordinary football team with no gameplan and even less skill.

Embarrassing at all levels of the club.
Last week was embarrassing. Didnt drop our heads tonight. But it was an accurate reflection of where we truly are. Which is way off the pace of the top teams.

Too many passengers. Outdated game plan. Injured or unfit players. Just too damn slow and unskilled when it counts.

Not sure where to go from here.

hawks the better team. plenty of pressure on the hawks in the contest but they're slick enough to keep a handle on it. able to repel us constantly with a bit of luck and plenty of skill, pace. haven't filled the list holes we've had for some time now, have never done much with our set shot bullshit for some time now either.
we gave a pretty good account, and the conditions probably helped us too. but our list of not overly quick contested players don't do us any favours.

Efficiency hurt again.
Literally every season we say the same thing, our recruiting and our coaches are simply not great and that will always hold us back.

Hawks are built perfectly, elite kicks everywhere and a system to make the role players 10-20% better players.

I don’t understand the Vossy bashing, evident again with our lack of polish costing us dearly.
Too many dump kickers (Docherty, Walsh, Cottrell), dumb footballers like McGovern and then players with basic mistakes, too regularly.

Playing with 1 hand behind our back most of the time.

Couldn’t fault the efforts.

F*, I dislike just about everything about Hawthorn.

Who is responsibly for selection though? Voss said you don't panic, you double down. Those players without polish have never had polish. We always execute dump kicks.

We hit the post three times, TDK was a goal, and a doc missed free in the square plus docs fluff of an attempt just inside 50. We are not far off. Basically no Curnow and Harry…
We are so far off its not even funny

This team is at a stage where we should be winning these games

We have been not far off for a decade

I dare anyone to say "At least they tried hard".

Dumb skill errors and too much fearing contact, especially in the second and last quarters.

Last quarter was a return to the capers of last week.

There is too much talent on our list to be this bad, so that tells me coaching and culture are still a massive problem.

Hawthorn have gone from easy beats to supremely confident in themselves in just two years.

There's a reason Voss didn't make it past the first interview when Collingwood were last looking for a coach.

It's not time for an on-field rebuild; it's time for a coaching staff rebuild.

Hawks pressure was immense all game, they were not just in second gear.

One of the highest pressure Round 2 games I’ve seen in a while
Our game style invites pressure. Artificial numbers. Hawks were coasting. Barely raised a sweat.

Carlton are cooked. Another rebuild coming. Without a first round pick as well.

Most of them gave the effort required.
Still panic dump kicks out of D50, and still dump kicks into F50…. I just don’t know what we’ve learnt, what are they taught?
I have NFI.
We need more than effort.
We need composure, composure, composure and some bloody skill.
