It's now all but certain that we finish in the bottom four.

Wasn't expecting to win today, but we had the tactical moves at the selection table to better deal with the players coming out of the team, and we ignored them in favour of the same bullshit that got Bolton fired.

Whoever is anchoring that Match Committee to the point where we get those kinds of selections needs to consider a new line of work. If this is the handiwork of Barker, he cannot leave fast enough.

Could have easily wound up with 9 wins, which would have put any imaginable concern about the Stocker trade to rest. As it stands, our draft pick is going to wind up somewhere between picks 3 and 6, most likely pick 4, which is about breaking even if Adelaide squirt into the 8.

Newman with a day out 10 career goals before this game, good effort to finish with 4. Walsh RS lock (not that it already wasn't).

Round 20 and Walsh is still improving with every game. I've never been more impressed with a first year player ever.

Newcomers Newman, Walsh and Gibbons were huge. Weitering's job on Josh Kennedy was immense.

Key outs especially for structure and experience. Considering that we did pretty well to keep it as close and competitive as we did. A lot of learning from today about what top sides do consistently.

Did like Schumacher's fend of that lead to that last goal at the end as well, clearly tired but confident to back himself in.

Just simply beaten by a better team. Last year and earlier in the year, that could’ve got ugly but they fought it out. The Eagles were clinical in front of goal when the game was on the line. Jones and then Thomas out hurt is badly with all our other outs.
