In: Ibbo Clancee Hill
Out: Silvagni Sheridan Sutcliffe

The ins are automatic best 22 so it's pretty simple this week if they're all fit.

Neale looks to have cemented his spot in the side. Wouldn't mind Crozier in as well but if those guys are ready to go it's too hard to fit him in.

I think C. Pearce will be 1 more game from playing.

Last week we can rest players IMO.

In: Pearce, Ibbotson

Out: Sherridan, Silvagni

Give Hill another week maybe even rest Mundy he wasn't a certainty to play this week.

Didnt get to watch the game yet. Why was Ballas subbed? Will he be rested?

they were just managing him, no injury.

we'd be crazy to rest balla, pavlich, sandilands or anyone else that has recently had time off.

Id be looking at resting barlow, who has looked sore, albeit still effective.

We are fremantle though, so im always nervous when it comes to flirting with form, no matter how well we are playing, so id hold off on resting players.

In:
Ibbotson
Crozier
Hill

Out:
Silvagni
Sutcliffe
Sheridan- although I will qualify that by saying that his form is steadily improving, and he is really starting to show that he can make it at this level. I have said for a while I think he will be a star, and stand by that.

Duffield looked like he re-did his calf. Missed most of q4 and had it iced up.

In: Hill, Ibbotson, Crozier
Out: Duffield (inj), Sheridan, Silvagni

That sucks, didn't pick it on the TV. My buddy hasn't quite been the same since he injured it mid way through the season, he's been OK, but not quite up to the same form. Be a bit of annoying if he has to sit a couple more out.

That attacking HBF position has been a bit of a revolving door in recent weeks - Ibbo, CPearce, Duffield all swinging in and out. How happy are we we've picked up and developed Spurr in the last 2 years. Another massive tick for the recruiters. :thumbsu:

Out : Duff(Inj), Mundy**, Sheridan
In: Ibbo, C.Pearce, Crozier

** Much harder to find a replacement for with viv injured

Silvagni out?

You have to be f'n kidding me.

I have to agree. In his earlier games this season he looked like a rabbit in the headlights of a car, BUT Silvagni's most recent few games have been honest and solid. Today he took a great intercept mark (led to a goal) and some very gutsy defensive marks.
His games when he was played forward were not his best. The bloke has a defensively-wired brain.
However, there is pressure on positions in our back 6, and Silvagni, sadly, is going to be number 7.
That said, I think the hate being recently directed at him is unjustified.

This is how Silvagni was playing under Harvey. Its why some of us rate him as a defender. I notice Healey today said he expects him to be at another club next year because he's good enough to start as best 22 in a team. Fact is if everyone is available he will probably miss finals because he's behind Dawson, McPharlin, Ibbotson and Johnson as a tall(ish) defender.

I reckon he'll turn out to be decent for a bottom tier side, because I think momentum and form's really important for him. He seems to be a confidence player but Freo isn't playing that game at the moment, and we're not giving him games for the sake of it when it'll be at the expense of someone more worthy. Or better. Or more reliable.

Can't see him staying. But you can't blame him.

If calls for Silvagni to be dropped are due to Ibbo's return then it doesn't make sense. Structurally you'd need to keep Silvagni as he played McPharlin's role and helps form the back 6. My changes then would be;

Ins: Ibbo, Hill
Outs: Sheridan, Sutcliffe

Neale simply can not be dropped until we get our full 22 back (which we haven't done this entire year). If Duff is injured as well than I can see Seppo finally getting his wish and Crichton jumping in as well.

I agree with the ins and outs but if Duff is injured then Sutcliffe or Shero will come back in. Sorry Seppo - KRY&^*TON wont get a game this year.
