Could be... timing seems a tad suspicious though.

Nothing suspicious about it

PRESSURE forward Tom Atkins is set to undergo surgery on an injured hand this week, which puts him in doubt for the final round of the home and away season.

Atkins played with the injury during the weekend’s clash with the Lions, but coach Chris Scott says it didn’t put him at risk of a prolonged absence.

“He has a slight issue with his hand that needs a really minor surgical procedure which will probably keep him out for this week,” Scott said.

“It’s not serious, if he doesn’t play this week he’ll play the next week in that pre-finals bye period, or would be available to play. He’s unlikely (this week) because of that surgery.”

Could just be that they need to remove a wart or stitch up a wound. That counts as ‘minor surgery’. But really, they are resting him.

Don't believe everything thing you read.

Other than when Ben Brown got hold of him pre-bye, and that was as much to do with s**t pressure through the midfield where North got a run of quick clearances from the middle, making it difficult for any defender one-out - when has Blicavs been dominated by an opposition full forward?
Naughton, but he must have smelt bad. Blicavs didn’t go near him!

It's been reported since last week that he hurt his hand and would require surgery - this way he gets an extra week to recover

But what do you believe to be the truth of the situation?

Stanley & Rohan in. In essence two fringe players that have a similar story. Have potential and speed and physical assets, yet just don’t get enough of it. Time to extract the digit for these two! No one has mentioned Kelly and his mindset of wanting a trade rather than shooting for a premiership. Might be time to p..... him off!

I would suggest that possessions are not the key metrics for either of Stanley or Rohan. As for Kelly, he shown nothing but professionalism. "P" him off just before finals, would not seem very sensible.

It appears that last weeks game has put paid to the Blicavs ruck experiment and Stanley will assume the #1 ruck role for the finals. Based on the entire 2019 season, this setup surely is our most balanced. Hopefully we get a strong performance from Rhys against Kreuzer and he can carry some confidence into the finals.

So Blicavs goes back into defence and Kolo, who has been underwhelming over the last month makes way. This seems to be the logical choice as Henderson hasn't put a foot wrong in his 3 games back and is one of our better users of the ball.

Not surprised Bews stays in the 22 as it appears Scotty has granted him a hall pass to screw the pooch with gay abandon. C'est la vie.

Understandably, players might be inclined to look after themselves in the final home and away and a comfortable win with no injuries is the desired outcome.

So when the facts start (see edit) your posts turn to gibberish.
Amazing how people who have no argument and do no research
just post nonsense. Do you think that makes you look clever?
I’m afraid it only confirms your stupidity.

Maybe he disagrees and just can't be bothered responding to your long winded rant. I can't either but I will say this. If we start hanging defenders for what could have happened or when they were helped out by team mates every defender is going to look rubbish. Pull your head in.

Hahaha what??? I have now heard it all. If Kelly is emblematic of a player more focussed on being traded than winning a flag then give me 22 trade wanting players. You simply absolutely definitely cannot be serious.

Oh harsh. We're not done with him, he's not done with us.
Had a chat to him and his wife the other night, and found them absolutely lovely and quite shy.
I can see why he needs a ball buster of a manager, and wish them well. Just being human for a moment.

Obviously they think Kolo is a chance to recover in time for the actual match hence he's still an emergency durhrm.

Which begs the question who will come out. Maybe there is someone else on the fritz. Maybe even Rohan on watch.
Could be anyone named, but with a niggle.
If Kolo is really injured, Parsons could even get a run since he's had emg tattooed on his forehead.
There, said it.

He can play in the VFL during the Bye weekend. Menegola also gets this opportunity, as does Kolo. They can sharpen up and hit the finals with a hit out. (Probably two games in the VFL for Kolo and Menegola).

Ablett should be playing forward 100% he'll get exposed in the midfield when finals comes around
Rubbish. Majority time in the forward area, short spurts in the midfield.
