I'll be happy enough for Wood to get a game on the back of his 2016 VFL work (albeit the smallest of samples), I'll be ecstatic if he applies himself defensively and brings some of the forward pressure we'll miss with Garner out (probably a pipe dream sadly).

Mainly want him to realise game time in a premiership contending side is never a given, and that if he puts his work in on the other side of the ball that he can cement a spot for years to come because he clearly has the talent.

Regarding not playing our kids if that remains the case - Hawks bring "kids" in that have played 2-3-4 years in their VFL side before they get a sniff of AFL footy, with Werribee looking like a strong team I'm all for the kids developing as a unit and coming in as a group after some retirements and slotting in when injuries/form allow them to do so, respect your elders and invest in the NMFC boys.

If i was choosing the side I'd keep Jacobs in and give him a shot at Fyfe or whoever is next in line if Nath can't be tagged as advertised.
I'd rest Swallow, he will win us games with his exceptional work from the bottom of the pack this year, i don't think we should wait for it to happen in the senior side, it could cost us, show me you can tear the VFL a new one and come back Cap.. -> Dumont in.
Thomas can stay, just gives a shit when others don't and nails impossible goals in clutch moments, if he must be dropped then Nahas in.
Nahas will get a game this year, and honestly should be looked at as a role model for the younger players, just an exceptional work ethic since coming to Arden St.

I'll be there Sunday as usual doing my best to lose my voice from level 2, pretty confident we'll bank the 4 points in a nerve-settling 8 goal victory.
