Its not hate. Its realism. We are 2-2 and have beaten 2 of the worst teams in the AFL. We have flooded the shit out of the midfield in the 4 games like poor sides do in soccer. We have lost to sides who have beaten us because of superior class. Priddis played against Mitchell today and was well beaten for impact on the game, for disposals and was beaten in clearances. He got him for tackles, but Sewell takes that role for the Hawks and he actually sticks them in space. Priddis was arguably in our best 5 today but if a talented player got the service and possessions he did we would win..... thats my point. When the game is on the line does he win the clearance and get it going our way? No. He works his arse off in an admirable fashion and its not his fault that he should be a rotation mid and he is played as the key man - but he is and it holds us back....


Completely wrong. Clarkson played Sewell his best stopper and hardest in and under on Priddis. Priddis clearly was the winner of this contest.
I'm always amazed at people who think that just because you are at the coalface you are going to get the ball- so wrong. You have to be very talented at reading the contest, battling your opponent and constantly putting your body on the line(against a guy as talented and hard hitting as Sewell that is a very courageous act). Similarly just because Cox, Natunui and Sandilands win the majority of the taps does not instantly mean you get the clearance- as this where the talent goes to work- Judd, Corey, Black, Boyd, Priddis are the players who can be in the right place at the right time and constantly put their bodies into harms way so as to extract the footy or half the contest for their team

Its allegedly an MVP. Typically the notion of an MVP is the player who is most valuable, who has the most impact on a teams performance. I am simply asking people to clarify what impact the people they vote for actually had.

Why do we owe you an explanation on our opinion :confused:

I don't feel the need to justify who i vote for, and i definately don't need anyone else explaining to me why they voted for a certain player, it's up to each person that wishes to cast a vote to cast it for who they think deserves it.
 
5- Kennedy (awsome effort in the match)
4- Darling (continues to get better and better)
3- Priddis (great game in and under all day)
2- Glass (played a great game in defense)
1- Butler (great game)

I generally find that those who can't or won't explain why they believe something don't have much basis for their thinking anyway. Thank god you aren't one of them. :)

You need to learn what "abuse" is steelo.... Asking people to explain that which is not clear is certainly not abuse in any definition.

Priddis was better than Darling? :)

Pound for Pound PRIDDIS is the Eagles best player right at this moment.

Yes, better than Cox (just by half a percent) and LeCras (1`/4 of a percent)

Watch what happens when the offensive game plan is better excecuted in the next few weeks

But Priddis is 11 pounds heavier than LeCras - does that mean he is a 6.5% better player than LeCras normally - i,e only 0.25% when the pound for pound is taken into account.

I find my pound for pound algebra can be deceived sometimes though...
 
Priddis is so underrated! You think he just plods along picking up the odd handball here and there, but he works pretty damn hard. And trust me... you notice his absence when he doesn't play.

In our top 5 players definitely. In my humble opinion :thumbsu:

Kerr and shuey weren't all that fantastic this game. I know i know... it's only kerrs third game. Shueys goal from the boundarie was his highlight though.

It's like everyones gone from shuey as god to big darls in the space of 1 game.

Was difficult to pick this week as everyone faded in and out of the game.
Here goes.

5 - Kennedy - Went missing but come back, he doesn't normally come back after going missing
4 - Glass - with the effort that Schofield and Brown put in he was the only one that I felt confident with down back did a great job
3 - Embley - did a couple of dumb things but when we made our comeback it was him who did not fluff around with the ball and moved it on quickly to create opportunities
2 - Darling - solid again
1 - Rosa - seems to have improved a bit again this year, more rounded game
