I'm furious about the amount of mistakes we've made on this match. Perhaps the crows would have won anyway but the difference between a premiership contenter and an also run is the amount of unforced errors the teams make.

I really had to think hard about the votes for this round, but here they go:

5 - Matera (5 goals)
4 - Wirrpunda
3 - Gardiner
2 - Judd
1 - Kerr

Honorable mention to Chick who contained Ricciuto when he moved onto him.

I can't believe you didn't have Wirra in your top 5 at least?

I will probably have to watch a replay to think about my votes.

Yes, you're right, he should have been 3 points. While I'm pi***ed off about the mistakes we made, don't seem to be able to think totally well.

One thing I noticed today is that Darren Glass put a bit of weight and muscle on. Last year he couldn't hold a key position because he was often pushed off by the big players like David Neitz, but I noticed today he looked stronger and he even pushed off Wayne Carey in one occasion, and we all know how strong Carey is.

I hope that Travis Gaspar comes back soon because we really missed him today at CHF. We also need a FF, because David Haynes is a handy player but FF he ain't.

I think we can take a lot of positives from this game.

33 points doesn't do us justice. A fair margin would have been something like 20 points IMO. We definitely handed the challenge to the Crows and they responded.

I think we can a lot out of the game, considering that Adelaide are one of the top 3 teams in the competition, and that we really served it up to them at their home ground.

5: Jones
4: Matera
3: Wirrpunda
2: Judd
1: Haynes

Just a note on Haynes. I thought he presented himself exceptionaly well all game. No good bombing high to him but as a FF leading out to the 50 he is an excellent mark and fast. Not only that but he can finesse to players running through the lines, something that BB could never do. He also creates a lot of space for Fido.

I have Chick, Kerr and Jako (first half) down for the others that my 5 were chosen from.

Good game by the guys, unfortunately a handful of their players turned it on and killed us (McLeod and Ricciuto namely).
I usually don't comment on other peoples votes but how you could have Morrison before Jones is well... mystifying. Not only was Jones very good but Morrison was very ordinary, IMHO of course. ;)

5: Judd - the one player who looked as if he could match McLeod & Ricciuto. He didn't quite, but not for lack of trying
4: Jones - without him as a forward marking target, we would have lost by a lot more and he did a lot of the hard work
3: Gardiner - tried incredibly hard all day - we need Cox to stand up to help him out - the way he picks up off the ground is excellent for such a big man
2: Wirrpunda - good to brilliant a lot of the time, but faded, possibly due to injury
1: Matera - 5 goals, tackled, chased and made a good effort - two games in a row

Kerr deserved points too, but I couldn't fit him in ahead of Gardiner or Matera. If Chick had kicked 4-0 instead of 0-4, he would have gone very close too.

Overall, a strong performance against the equal Premiership favourites, an excellent game of football and (while I hate losing) if you're going to lose, that's the way to do it. We are and will continue to get better.

Well I am disappointed by the final margin but you cant question the endeavour of most of the team. I thought most of the guys really put in.

5 - Judd
4 - Matera
3 - Wirrpunda
2 - Kerr
1 - Jones

Gardiner tried hard - really ran himself into the ground. It's true that a few of their absolute guns (McLeod and Riccuito) hammered us in the third. McLeod is a genius of a player. That goal where he snuck through on the boundary - Glassy actually caught him but he still managed to squeeze a goal - amazing to watch.

We really missed a key forward such as Willo today. Fido did brilliantly to get 5 goals and Haynes led well in the 2nd half - we needed that third option. I thought Glass was good down back and Wirra was magnificent in the 1st half in particular.

The game showed that our midfield has a way to go to match the crows - we had some excellent moments but they seemed to whisk it away too easily in the 3rd and at critical moments. Cox didnt help Gardy out much unfortunately.

I was a bit disappointed with Morrison - he tried but I dont recall him going hard into many contests (worst was Riccuito's uncontested mark in the 3rd - he also walked over the ball in the 2nd at the crows CHF area). His disposal needs some work also. I think Ready would be a better option (or Humm) as they are harder at it - granted Chad needs a few more games under his belt after 2 years out, maybe I am being a little hard on him.

Cuz was also flat and despite the fact I think he is a champ I noticed he ran away from a few tackles rather than pressuring the ball carrier - I yelled at the TV 2-3 times "tackle him Cuz!! He had an average game in my book.

There were a lot of positives - Kerr and Judd in the middle, Matera was very dangerous, Wirra held the backline together and Jones put in a 4 quarter effort

Overall the guys put up a good solid effort but we need to keep improving if we are to get some wins on the road.

I liked his 1st half, looked to be getting back to his pre-knee form. That and the fact I forgot about Jones :D Votes will be changed accordingly

Hmm..

5.Jones-His best game since 2001. As usual, made up for his lack of athleticism with incredible footy smarts-always in the right place at the right time.

4.Wirrpunda- Clearly BOG up until half time, went missing after.

3.Matera- Continues his excellent form, leads the league in goals kicked, and was accurate on Sunday.

2.Judd- Solid, workhorse style game from the Juddster.

1.Gardiner- Toiled hard, got no help from Cox. Decent, honest performance.

Will post my votes up later.
Because he's not a fashionable player.

This is why club B&Fs are such a good guiude to players' performances. The coaching staff know who's done their job.

(Having said that, I gave Judd 5 and I'm having second thoughts! Nah, I'll leave it as I saw it)

Do they put his name in for the sake of it or what? I mean he is a great player and everything, but I don't think many people would have said he was one of our better players yesterday, he came good halfway through the third term and continued on in the fourth quarter, but what about gardiner?!

I don't know why I bother with that site sometimes..

I'm guessing he has a couple of injuries he's carrying. I know he has to really strap up an ankle every game but I suspect he's carrying another injury too. Certainly not the Cuz of the last few seasons so far.
