Jack was fantastic in the first contributed to a couple of goals got the ball to Murphy and later passed it off kept running then pass to Harry
100% Eskie. Loved his game. Think he does a lot of stuff that goes unnoticed as well. Smart team player who I expect to keep getting better

Its unbearable and unrelenting. Almost every single post by the usual "gate keepers" has been attacking other supporters for questioning issues at the club.

Really does destroy the ability to have an adult conversation about issues at the club with people throwing tanties for questioning things.
What issues do we have at the club? List them, happy to discuss them if you think posters are shutting down the conversation

What do you expect the coach to say in public?
I’ll wait to see what the match committee say with their actions at selection next week.
Don’t get me wrong I’m over the moon with the win but more importantly with the numerous positives out of this game but Polson is just not up to it, lots of kids aren’t.
I’m not saying anything derogatory I’m just calling it the way I see it.
Read my post before the game today , i said I’d be keeping a close eye on both of them, now I’m not Nostradamus but it was clear to me they’d be the most underperformed today.
A fair enough viewpoint GS.

Personally, with Polson there have been days (especially at the backend of last season) when I’ve thought there’s a player in there, but performances from him like today’s definitely have me second guessing myself. Unless I missed something on first viewing, he just seemed to have so little impact on the game today.

Just to clarify though, are you saying that in your opinion Polson is not up to it period, while LOB is not up to it yet? I only ask because while I admit to having my doubts (intermingled with hopes) about Polson, I remain confident that LOB will be fine in the medium to long term. For now though, I do believe that LOB might need to return to the NBs to work on a few things, not least his attack on both the footy and his immediate opponent.

thought BB was about shed a tear when describing Cripps leadership...Cripps determination and attitude are elite..
If he isn’t already he soon will be the best captain in the AFL and best captain we have had since Sticks, the way he is driving the players to improve is something to behold and when we do go on to win our next flag he will have been the main driver of that flag.

That’s exactly how I see it , O’Brien in twos for a long spell of learning and development, Polson not up to it although can’t fault his effort and endeavour

My mate at the game asked me who I'd like to see kick the goal to take us to 100. At first I said Cripps but changed my mind and said Walsh to signify the new beginning...

15 seconds later Walsh goals.
I was amazed at the timing.
Was forced to watch on my phone on a balcony in Phillip Island. Threw my hands in the air in joy... phone went flying across the deck but landed safely thank god. Walshyyyyyyy to kick the goal as well. My love for him has gone to yet another level.

My highlights:

- SPS God mode
- McKay was like watching Carey and Buddy in one
- Zac Fisher had his zip and intent back
- Krooooooooz
- Plow looking confident and proactive at half back
- My man Sam Walsh
- The fact we pressed on for four quarters and never let them win back any ascendancy whatsoever
- JSOS looking eerily like his dad and adding another dimension to our team
- Gibbons playing in a more useful position and getting his first snag

Lowlights:

- I couldn't get there to see it :(

Up you baggers!!!

Was encouraged by Plowman's game, best he has played in a while. Hope he gets so much needed confidence and belief from it.
I'm not sure he's short on confidence tho. Regularly takes the hard kicks out of the backline, backs his strength against the tackler, flies when he knows he'll only get crucial fingertips on the ball, and makes anyone who collides with him very sorry.

The only ppl who need belief are our supporters who think being a backman is all about neat kicks out of the defensive 50.

Come on Gards, Shit posts are shit.
Play Willo on the HBF, or wing..
Maybe I should post it in the unpopular opinions thread but that’s my view on Plowman. I’ve seen enough to come to that conclusion. He’s ok until we’ve got better and 3 tallish players is enough imo so Williamson in for more run out of backline.
