I agree. I used to have great respect for CW, and still admire her strength to have endured so long in a male-dominated industry. But now I think she is clutching at straws and reduced to sensationalism like so many other footy journos.

Not being from Victoria I don't really see or hear that much from Caroline Wilson, but when I do she always seems be sour and hostile towards the Blues or Eddie McGuire but definitely comes across as having nothing but a negative agenda in all of her reporting. with respect - for a long time there has been very little positive to report - it isn't her job to cheer-lead carlton, look for any little nugget of optimism, fight for our right to be treated as though we have been relevant - it's ours - we've been losers for a long time and unfortunately for some that has transmogrified into a victim's outlook - you see things from a victim's perspective you will forever be crying "poor me, another barb from caro" - curiously it will all be forgiven and forgotten once we start to win - I thought the commentary from marvel yesterday was fabulous - healy and dunstall and even that peanut russell wrapt us up bigtime - it felt great to hear as I was so proud of our efforts - this pointless banging on about caro and her non-existent agenda is as silly as the one toward kb - if we can't cop a bit of justified stick about being crap well **** me...........

I loved watching him ‘accidentally’ fall over and half hit/stifle the opponents at one point without giving away a free. His father was a genius at it. Truly freaky his son is the same. Like it’s repeatedly NEARLY a free. Like SO close....but not.

I look forward to Jack going to the backline. Will happen. Watch. 7-8 years of him as a defender in future.

I just find it fascinating that both those boys played their lights out yesterday. Maybe i am watching too much Game of Thrones to be swayed into thinking such a Machiavellian tactic by the club

Plows field kicking is pretty good but I think he needs to work on his body positioning and how he approaches contests..he often ends up in a non-advantageous position after the challenge...some rugby type training would be very beneficial for him

Agree'd mentioned this earlier today. However I will not abide by Carros attitude towards Carlton.

During Rattens period she was absolutely unrelenting - and it was visibly billious, invective coming from her - it was seething.

We were on the up, and she spent a good deal of her time focused squarely on Carlton and Ratten - all of it negative with a full suite of insinuations which were never backed up.

She was great during the Essendon drug saga - and led the way.

I understand your desire to defend her as a woman - however her integrity during Rattens tunure was unforgivable if only for its profound lack of any professionalism. It really exposed her Richmond background and she was pulled up on this very point in the media on several occassions.

Its a long time ago now - however the push back from Carlton where she had a "source" (rumours abounded), the fall out in the media has left her and the club with a strong distate for each other.

She is definitely bias against Carlton - there is simply no question on this. Obviously she has learned to cover it better in recent years.

The curious case of JSOS. He is too versatile for his own good. Talent, aggression, height, work rate and skills are all there. Speed unfortunately is not.

Where do we play him once Charlie comes back?

Full time midfielder who rests down forward? Can he rack it up enough for that? When he does rest forward that gives us all of McKay, Curnow, McGovern and JSOS down forward - pretty top heavy. Him and Cripps can directly rotate down forward/on-ball perhaps? Setterfield to come back in and play a similar role down the track I'd imagine. JSOS could also be a decent tagger or lock down defender? Honestly no idea what to do with him, but he is in our best 22 somewhere.

If he can give us 20 touches and a goal every week we'd be absolutely laughing - as would he.
