Need to hold tight this quarter. Every game we've played away from home this year, we've been blown off the park in the 2nd quarter. Can't afford that again this week.

Surely if there was a free kick on the 50m arc and someone takes a bounce and hacks a shot from 30m out, they've definitely played on to advantage. Ridiculous to call that kick back.
The commentators were praising the umpires for letting things go & being a free flowing game - I think they meant that it was good to see the umpires turning a blind eye to indiscretions by Brisbane, because they seemed to quickly call a free when it was a Geelong player they deemed to have caused harm/interference/wrong doing blah blah blah

Guess the last touch rule only applies off a Geelong boot.
We got that same benefit in the first quarter (think it was off Ivey) - they tend to look at if it was a deliberate kick & not just incidental off the toe

be nice to get a free kick though for high contact

Darby pushed in the back in a marking contest in our forward 50, from the Brisbane kick outside our 50 the Brisbane player is tackled & throws it out behind her - all just called play on

Nice kick there by Mia-Rae Clifford.

Happy with that half. Just need to tidy up our forward 50 entries and not bomb it long to Phoebe McWilliams being marked by about half a dozen defenders.

Been very impressed with Darby today - think she wasn't happy being dropped last week and has responded well today having been recalled
