Then watch Bowes get bid on with pick one. It's in our nature, the Poo Pirates of the AFL - the Curse of the Gold Coast.
Right now we are the worst team in the comp
The Carrara Curse really needs to be lifted
If you believe it, the curse is supposed to be lifted at some point in 2018 when Christopher Skase's original 30-year lease on Carrara Stadium expires. The story goes that the city has been cursed in sports for the duration of the 30-year lease because the Bears broke the lease after just 4 years and moved to Brisbane.

There seems to be a real disconnect between our NEAFL team and the 1's. Most other teams if they bring in a player they play their role. With us even if they're racking up 30 touches in the NEAFL they look inept at AFL most of the time.

When we lose a player to injury or suspension(I'm looking at you May) we never replace them with someone who can do the same job at the same level.

I was at the game on the weekend and was obviously disappointed with the result after quarter time. While I thought the Cats would get the chocolates the 120 point difference in scores was very disappointing.

The first point I would address would be the lack of accountability that appeared to occur from the midfield and forward line.

I would be interested to know if it is as simple as just "one" player not playing their role or was it considered a team structural problem.

It appeared that Geelong had an extra 2 players on the ground at most stages due to their spread and ease of finding loose and running players.

The clearances and inside 50's tell the story.

I am thinking Stanley and Matera would be a chance this week.

Also a replacement for McKenzie is looking likely.

NO GOLD Coast player was spared in a lengthy honesty session following Saturday night's embarrassing 120-point loss to Geelong.

The Suns' leadership group took charge in the two-hour review on Monday morning, giving players the chance to speak frankly with one another.

Everyone from skipper Gary Ablett to first-year player Mackenzie Willis was in the firing line.

"Everyone had the opportunity to give it and everyone received some," Suns football manager Marcus Ashcroft said.

In what was arguably the worst loss in coach Rodney Eade's 28-game tenure, Gold Coast lost the disposal count by 139, clearances by 18 and inside 50s by 28.

Ashcroft said the review was longer than usual – and it needed to be.

"We know the result is unacceptable and everyone feels embarrassed," he said.

"We needed to sit through it, take the learnings and make sure we bounce back.

"There's no point having a thorough review … if there's no response.

"The message is, if you can't bring effort and intensity you won't play."

Gold Coast won its first three matches – admittedly against strugglers Essendon, Fremantle and Carlton – on the back of pressure around the contest and good transition with the ball.

In two of the past three losses against the Brisbane Lions and Geelong, that effort has been missing.

"At end of day, if we're competitive, you'll notice that," Ashcroft said.

"It was non-existent at the weekend. We capitulated. There was no fight and that's what our players were most embarrassed about."

Ashcroft said Thursday's main training session would contain a "physical element".

He said despite an injury toll that included midfielders David Swallow, Jaeger O'Meara and Michael Rischitelli, along with defenders Rory Thompson, Trent McKenzie and suspended Steven May, there were no excuses.

McKenzie was cleared of an ankle break on Monday but will have an MRI with the expected outcome that he will miss two to three weeks with a strain.

Sam Day is expected to play Melbourne on Saturday despite nursing a sore back, while running defender Adam Saad is also a likely return from a hip injury.

Zorko was on the Suns list, lived on the Gold Coast , playing for Broadbeach and we gave him to the Lions ,,, yet another great decision
I'm sure we would have screwed him up anyway :D

I know and he was desperate to represent the Gold Coast AFL Team to.
That's why when he took Wilkinson apart a few years ago he really gave it to him all day. They played at Broadbeach together.
We passed on Zorko and took Wilkinson can you f....ing believe That. He also would have been better marketing that that clown Hunt as well.
Local boy grew up playing Grugby League.
