That's more like it!

Geelong are still ours and Barlow's bitches!

Not a big Suban fan but I thought him and Mzungu really set the tone in the first half, both were brilliant.

Great to see Sheridan do some nice things as did Silvagni when he was on.

Well done to the players, crowd and Geelong for giving Pavlich the magnificent reception he deserved.

Oh and Crowley's the dirty one

RTB, Ballas - Great work putting him in the forward 50, and Ballas made the most of it.

Sandi - Great work on the marks, is back to his best form.
Barlow, Fyfe, Mundy - Their normal self, great effort.

Neale - Is really starting to look class, has a great side step and vision.

Hill, Pearce, Mzungu - Great effort, great spread, great run.

Crowley - great work getting the best of Stevie J

Finally Matthew Pavlich - Superb effort, absolute class. Continue to work all game.

Sandi spent an awful lot of time not in the ruck in the 2nd half. Hope it's not serious.

What's not to like when you win a game against quality opposition for a club champion's milestone game and when the club is a bit on the ropes looking to avoid going sub 50% into a bye? And our midfield, especially in the early stages was just awesome, unstoppable and scary good for a while there.

Having said that, we still looked a touch off the boil in the second half and lacked that manic work-rate that made us a force late last year. And, once again failed to take advantage of our stoppage dominance once the game tightened up in the 2nd half.

Don't want to be downer. Great night, I'm thrilled, but there's still plenty to work on there during the bye.

Crowley's first big win of the season I reckon, won't bother with the stats but SJ had no influence tonight. Not strictly true since he probably hurt his team though.

Had we kicked straight it could have been a 10 goal HT margin but we kept the pressure on when we needed to and never really gave them a sniff, we look to be nearing our best again.

Suban and Mzungu were excellent, no need to mention the big names who performed as expected. Spurr had a few dicey moments with his kicking but all in all thought he was very good, so too Sutty.

Agree with you PapaJ though in that the bye has come at the right time, the boys looked spent early in the fourth.

Just got home, man Mundy is just special in traffic.
So many times I was just awestruck at what he manages to do in such a tight space while looking so deceptively slow - could swear he and mark Waugh are brothers ....

Hill and Pearce combo looked dangerous all night and while the cats had run at times they relied on team spread to break lines - we can luckily just hand it off to either of the above and watch them fly.
Their outs of stokes and Christensen really helped us.

Subes played with some real gusto all night and did tommy s do more than Deboer would have ??? Hard call with their differing roles but I liked what he did at times

Great team performance.

Ballas...
Barlow...
Pav...
Hill...
Mundy...
Sandi...

Words escape me. Everyone bar Clarke put in a tremendous shift tonight and really played some of their best collective footy for a while. So happy.

Bradey been an eternity. Johnson was good, very good. Not as good as Mundy, but!!
Johnson was always behind his man and turned it over consistently early on.

And it has been a long time, been super busy lately. Managed to catch the games though.

First time ive been able to post about Freo in a while, been moving house. Good to see us win for once, even while not in top form. Johnson had his worst game in years tonight too.

Well looked what the cat dragged in.

And "for once" huh? Not been able to get to a TV or newspaper lately Brades? I'm not totally sure myself, but I think we've won the some other games lately. :)

Well, I guess you've never been one to take too literally, but you're good value. I'm glad you're back. Now I eagerly await a conversation between you and Coulda ... just when I thought the bye week could be a real bore.

Well to be fair to me, the last few games I had watched were us v North, Hawks, Sydney and Port...

And I guess for thrills you just whack on a replay of the first half of last years GF.

Looking at Silvagni tonight was a real eye-opener he can really read the game well at times. Happened on several occasions the ball would be kicked to our defensive 50 and he would leave his opponent stranded by about 30 metres and rebound effectively. Very solid player.

Really. I thought he was good today
