If Westhoff plays again after being dropped, getting a lifeline and playing like total arse, we are not taking this seriously. Or more likely the coach is playing for his one year extension to the detriment of developing this list for the future.

Except every time he goes back to his favourite old players we go to mid-table. Clarkson, Scott or Hardwick playing some older players who've delivered is one thing, but going back to the players that have failed over and over is so frustrating. Those senior players haven't even made a Grand Final (or won a final at all in years), but somehow they are 'trustworthy' old hands?

The game against St. Kilda was half of the old Hinkley play book. I'm expecting talls for smalls and old unreliables to be the other half brought out this selection night. I'll be able to quash that last remaining small bit of hope we'd do something this season then and get back to putting all my attention into looking forward to life post the clown in charge.

Would like to see Hayes get a go on Thursday. Quite frankly there is nothing to lose, as Ladhams cannot go up against Gawn by himself. Rockliff should come back in, as we may have some hope of winning a clearance or 2. Hopefully we will see Watts soon.

I said it after the Brisbane loss, I'd like to see Darcy get a squirt in the midfield. He's probably spent zero time in learning midfield structures so not sure if realistically possible. He's got speed, clean hands and evasive skills in traffic. Maybe something to try in the off season for next year.

I don't think he needs too, he's our go to option off the back of the square at centre bounces. He's got great acceleration to charge in or he reads the ball super well to end up in the right spot to mop up.

He also pops up occasionally at stoppage and contributes.

Hinkley will field the team that Hinkley wants & always has. Most of us know the changes that are needed but never happens. Until he’s gone, I don’t GAF ! I think moral within the team are at a low when it’s the same ol revolving door deadwood players keep getting selected.
