Sheridan surely is done. Doesn't fit, doesn't look like AFL quality. When the going gets tough, he just crumbles. Tucker is close to his level too, where does he fit. But he's younger.
Ballas.. far out he's cooked. Done. Even against an awful Carlton he was close to worst on ground.

In- Bennell (just manage him in the forward line.. don't care, he's not worst off playing for Freo then Peel)

Darcy

D. Pearce- why was he dropped in the first place. Wants to play, offers so much more then Sheridan. We ll need him without Fyfe.

B. Hill

Duman

Out-
Sheridan
Ballas
Tucker
Fyfe
Sandi

Where do you start..

In: They’ll debut North, Brad Hill, Sean Darcy and hopefully they throw Bennell in to play on the HFF. Crowden and Dunman will make an appearance too.

Out: Sandi, Fyfe, Ballas, Tucker(horrible), Nyhuis(not up to it) and Sheridan.

Ballantyne, Matera and Giro all have to go. And not for Crowden/Pearce. Have said it time and time again, but we can’t play so many short people when they are just average players without the tricks required from short people. Especially without the guys at the other end of the spectrum in Fyfe and Blakely.

You have to question what they did during the break.

A calf and hamstring to 2 of our most important and guys looking flat.

I watched numerous non efforts but on one of the kick outs Banfield literally didn’t move from the mark after the guy kicked it to himself. That’s 100% not like him. Just stood there like he literally had nothing.

Were they flogged? Did they all get rip roaring smashed and still feeling it?

Langdon was great but even he lacked that explosive run.

As flat an effort as I’ve seen in a while.

If this was test cricket and we were Pakistan and playing Kenya I’d demand an inquiry into match fixing.
I did wonder if the game sim during the week may have flattened them. Hard to know.

McCarthy can in no way be considered. You can’t drop someone from AFL for being insipid and bring in a player that was insipid in WAFL.

For me guys in order of coming in are: Duman, Hill, Darcy, Hughes, Crowden, Jones, Bennell, Pearce, Grey, Johnson, North, McCarthy, Strnadica.

That’s off the top of my head but about what I’m thinking.

Guys in order of going out:
Fyfe, Nyhuis, Ballas, Matera, Tucker, Giro

Ross said he liked Tucker in the backline, so that may not happen. Dropping Giro would seem to be pointless during a rebuild, but you never know. Matera needs to be allowed to play in a properly structured forward line. Nyhuis is going to be positioned into football oblivion by Ross.
Would like to see Grey back in soon. At least he gives 100% every game. It will be his last chance to play for his career.

I wasn’t dropping Tucker or Giro, just providing a list and they’re 5th and 6th on that list. Doubt we’ll drop 5 guys but if we did that’s right in Tucker and Giro range.

One minor positive glimpse is that a number of lads in the 2's are banging down the door to have a go of it.

Darcy comes in for Sandi to make an immediate impact.
B. Hill in for Fyfe.
Grey comes in for Ballantyne - we've got Matera and Walters, we don't need him, + Grey offers a bit of forward-pressure we sorely need.
Duman comes in for Nyhuis - I like Nyhuis but Duman's probably a head of him. Probably wouldn't be surprised to see Johnson played as the Brissy game really showed a lack of leadership down back. Hughes not too far behind hopefully.

D. Pearce could come in for a Tucker/Sheridan, but to be fair Sheridan's been playing reasonably well before today and Tucker needs to be persevered with, either that or roll the dice with Bennell but I don't see that happening in Darwin - maybe the following week against Port if he dominates!

Tom North probably isn't too far away, and I think McCarthy is going to have to dominate a bit at WAFL level before he gets a call up.

We've got quite a bit to experiment with and keep the playing 22 on their toes, not all is lost just yet!

Tucker doesn't have to be persevered with. Throw him onto the trade table for a fourth rounder

OUT: Fyfe, Ballas, Nyhuis

IN: Billy, Darcy, Duman

I’d like to see Bailey play forward pocket like he did in preseason, which elevated him from the rookie list to stating 22. At a stretch I could see Cam come in ahead of Duman but he really doesn’t deserve a game based on his WAFL performances.

Matera has obviously found Subans stash of comprising RTB photos.... does nothing but spudly efforts yet gets a pass mark each week - has he even laid a tackle in 2018 ?

Out: Matera, Ballantyne, Cox, Nyhuis, Giro, S.Hill

If you throw Ballantyne out, S.Hill can go with him. The work ethic as the loose player was atrocious.

Why though? At least Pearce has the desire and commitment to play. Sheridan just looks like he's gifted games, offers rare glimpses. But his body size, gets pushed off easily, he's here nor there.

Matera is played awfully wrong. He's being used as a high half forward. Whereas he's best suited to deep forward crumbing, getting a goal. Not surprising he's struggling with a Ross Lyon style gameplan

I think we will actually see something like this

In: B.Hill, Crowden, Duman, Darcy & D.Pearce
Out: Sheridan, Giro, Nyhuis, Ballantyne or Matera & Fyfe
