:( Unfortunately the Kangaroos game finished early due to a Kilmore bloke being taken away in an Ambo after an incident that will no doubt have many different stories. The unfortunate offending player involved would also have to be one of the fairest players i have seen play.
This is a great contact sport that sometimes unfortunate accidents being reckless or accidental happen.
I can only wish the young bloke the very best a speedy recovery.

Heard there was some form of melee following the incident, any reports?

He may just be , and I'm not going to come out and say he this and he's that cause I don't no the bloke at all and we can all make stupid decisions on the footy field but that was no unfortunate accident , incident happened two metres away from me , on a good note snaithy has been cleared of any major spinal injuries but does have narrowing of the spinal canel

Hate to say it but the LIVE score app isn't live enough, it's frustrating, be good if it could be updated by some computer geek before finals.

The big interest up at Woodend tomorrow surely, will be how the Gilbert Gordon oval can fit two of the biggest egos on the one arena at the same time........................Brendon Fevola and Dean Helmers !
No doubt Deano came away with the last laugh !Fev was given token free kicks to kick 1 or 2 goals but he was towelled up completely by Steve Burlak in a magnificent performance at Full Back !!! I must say a big tick to the Woodend Football Club for putting on a great show a credit to your committee and staff extremely professional day that most that attended would have enjoyed thoroughly ..Fev showed he is a class act giving back to grass roots football a gentleman that is very humble ...A big tick to you Fev ...Dean Helmers works hard and has a football team that would walk over hot coals for him ! A big tick for you Deano !As for you Evil Roy Slade you are a coward that probably never gives back to our wonderful football community it,s easy to take cheap shots at people that are willing to put their balls on the line ..Hide behind your alias you coward it,s people like you that local football doesn't need to hear from!

What a cracking day today was (apart from the weather), well done to Woodend/Hesket, I hope the day was a success for the club.

Romsey looked outstanding, winners across all lines, Chris Petroro BOG for me with Travis Mills and Cam Streeter also great and of course Davo in difficult conditions.

The Hawks tried hard and made it a contest, but just lacked touch around the ground, disposal letting them down, where theRedbacks were clean.

Heard a little whisper up at Broadford today that there might be a little bit more to Barry's injury flew to Adelaide and something about a paycut. Anyone ?

Heard a lot of things yesty at Broadford, but you never know who or what to believe up there. Finally after 10 years of lobbying to council, the new gym project is complete and the pavilion is finally getting the upgrades it requires (and town folk deserves).

I doubt they'd be that cheeky to ask Baz to take a hit after the money (and positive interest) he generated for the joint last year. If it was me (obviously it's not) I'd pay him whatever he wants and cut some of the recruits they've got running to more of a "market worth" in terms of output so far, and capabilities in some cases.

I'd much prefer to hear that the big fella did a calf thru the week than this sort of thing and hope he does run out at some point this year.

Speaking with Diggers today, there is a good chance that Baz will line up over at Diggers against the Burra if all goes well, which would be a great crowd boost for the Burras he game on Sunday.

In the meantime, thoughts go out to Chris Meacham and Lucas Dowson who were involved in an accident today, hope both recover quickly.

U only have to ask me Doon rather than listen to any bullshit around the ground

A lot of people have said to me that Fev dint give back but was in it only for the CASH !! Nothing could be further from the truth .....At quarter time of the reserves he spent all the time kicking the football with some 6 year olds ..He played on the Saturday and was obviously super sore but he soldiered on and showed real character of a champion bloke not wanting to dishonour his commitments to the RDNFL although being sore and injured he played under duress ....In saying that he was monstered by Steve Burlak regardless ....I guess Fev has had better games against top line AFL Opponents under the same conditions so a big tick to the RDNFL........!!!!!!!!!

Made a call to young Tom Snaith last night
Great to see he's at home
Still a long road back to full recovery for him but he's in good spirits
Also we hope meach and his bloke are doing ok after their accident.
Quick recovery to all
Cheers Skip
And the Broadford footy club

Top job Skip, Tommy was a Broadford junior and is a cracking young fella. Also wanna send a shout out to Meach and Lucas, don't know what words to express but having heard what took place, the word heroic springs to mind. Rest up boys, take your time and be guided by the experts and no doubt we'll see ya's at a game when the time is right :thumbsu:

So did they just pick nearly the exact same squad as last year for the interleague squad? Why hardly any new faces? Some guys in there aren't in there on form. What about Crump who's second in the goal kicking? Cali from Wallan looks impressive! I'm a Sunbury supporter and some boys were lucky to be named. Thoughts?

Cracking debut post, love when a newbie bobs up with controversy, if only they'd stay on contribute after their fishing expidition's were completed ha ha!!! Who are the Sunbury boys lucky to be named and who should've replaced them? Crump would've been compared to Davo from Romsey Id' suggest, and even a bloke like Kruezer who's been going good wouldn't compare to Cariss who must be leading the Bowen Medal at this early point. Unsure where Cali plays, who from the squad would you play him ahead of?

I'm pretty sure I read (or might have heard) that the selectors weren't interested in putting up names of guys who have snubbed the opportunity in the past. Anyone who has been involved in rep programs knows how hard it is, but you have to compare apples with apples in regards to what spot will they play and how they compare to others vying for the same spot.

Will be interesting to see how Kruezer fairs against Cariss next weekend. I believe they r the 2?best ruck man in the comp and should both be at least in the squad. As for Crump I saw him Saturday and can't believe he's not playing, very good at ground level on a wet day and nearly kicked Kilmores whole score. I believe Welsh and Powell have just had ok starts to the season, which indicates they aren't picking players on 2014 form

I'll take your word from it, haven't seen all the senior sides yet this year so no idea.

Almost every player who committed to the program in 2013 was given the opportunity to be in the squad for the 2014 squad, they are the guys that committed straight up and deserve every chance, there were a couple of exceptions, but those players haven't played a game in 2014 to date.

No matter where you see an interleague squad picked, it will show some bias to those that have represented in the past and based on past form, it's always going to be the way it is with only 4 rounds of footy to get around to see everyone, so you also have to perform on the day that selectors are there.

Unfortunately, not every player can be selected in the squad, so it's unfortunate that Crump missed out, but as Doona2 said, he is competing in a position with some pretty damn good players in their own right.
