When do finals venues and more importantly GF venue get announced?
Have to say I am a big rap for Lancefield as a GF venue (if we are choosing from RDFL clubs only) but what I saw up there on Saturday would have to be of some concern. Is that mud typical for this time of year? Still a couple of months to go so hopefully it comes good again.

There won't be any action on it for three weeks in the lead up to the GF so it should be cherry ripe. Always is.

Someone mentioned a while back about the Sunbury Lions ground being a good venue to host the RDFL grand final. I agree it would be a good venue, but why would you want a club from another league to benefit from the food and beverage sales?
The Lions would obviously have to pay a fee to host.

How did the other 3 go? (Chambers, Carris and Wright?) Were they close to getting a spot?Congrats to Chris Petroro for making the Vic Country 2 side for this weekend.. Great honours or Chris and despite missing the huge clash with the Bombers, there is no doubt he will get another crack at them at a more important stage

I beleive romsey have applied for the grand final!!! Im biassed but best ground, best facilities, best viewing areas imo, and proven to host many big events this season with distinction............. however im sure " they " wont be influenced by bigfooty opinions. Im sure the rdfl hierarchy will weigh up all proposals and pick whoever meets their requirements best. Times are changing and romsey reserve is currently the best venue in the rdfl imo

Wont the RDFL let all the Presidents know next week at their presidents meeting where each and every final will be held, why don't we all wait and see who gets what. Most grounds would have had a pasting over the last couple of weeks with all the rain every ground has had

Did you step on the ground or look at it through Google earth cause i can tell you that both ends, sorry most of the ground is holding a lot of water, could be a mudfest,both teams have to play in the shithole so may the best team win.
Cariss didn't try out, Chambers pulled out injured but was going to be in side. So i think both had injury issues?
