You would have to suspect so. I'm guessing the Riddell committee will need to put on much more food and booze (namely bourbon for IMS and Mongrel) for this game.

Round 18 might be irrelevant and could be a lacklustre game as both sides will likely rest players as I'm sure the game will have little impact on the final five .. but you never know.

The Next one is Marcus Power a former Riddell and Gisborne player, who left to head North, but is back and looking @ playing football this year! My source tells me that both Gisborne and Riddell a very keen to secure this man as he is a very hard nut at the football!

Now my source doesn't normally let me down that often but when the same continued rumours and the Bombers having a massive week ahead of them, could this be the extra ticket that may see them defeat the Roos?

Has anybody else within the RDFL District heard any speculation from this rumour?

I hope i dont get banned for posting on this thread :eek: but i ran into to Marcus Powell last week up at Broadbeach and he didnt mention anything about coming home, says he's enjoying his footy up there and going allright to.
 
Don't know where i got 'Power' from. Far enough that end's speculation for one players, now just Lee!

Can we move to Woodend game to Sunday, i want to see these two go hard at it, more than just top of the table at stake!
 
We need midseason recruits for the Western Wallabies side.. Anyone interested in joining the league for the remainder of the season PM me, we need active posters to strengthen our side :D

I would like to see Matt, OMNI, HFF, joeblow2 and Mongrel step up to the plate here...

Well you need some back Wallan keep pinching them back on you, Van do you reckon you can hold onto 5th spot this year and play finals. Is the disco duck ready to fire up in the twos?? and how do you reckon he'll fare??
 
i think that we will hold onto 5th spot this year, diggers have been dissapointing, we havent had a full side on the park all year, we still gettin our best 22 sorted out. buckets at full foward has only played 2 games with the fellas, and now cornish is starting to fire. duffy back to fill the run off back flank spot.
Not Andy Stewart safe to say hes enjoying retirement! Would be rapt to see Robbie in a Kilmore jumper again. Disco Duck played in the 2s last saturday i didnt see much of the game but he looks to go pretty well!

Must be from a while ago if it aint Wittmer, ya's aint had a lot of handy stock of late lets be honest . . . . . unless its Rowey :eek: Butts, Hank Howe, Danny O'Dwyer, Shane Crosbie, Hammer, Nick Mongahan, Geoff Still, Kempy, young or old Fruity???

C'mon Van the suspense is killing me, Id love nothing more than to c the Blues snag a lastminute recruit or two and become a threat.

Here's a question... Does being de-registered stop Scott from coaching..??? I believe he is the Reserves coach at Riddell!!!

You would think it would because his name would have to be on the team sheet as coach. If your suspended as a player and your a coach you cant coach that week either.
 
i did hear a whisper of one Geoff Still, and also know Jimmy Wright is back over for a short stay in a few weeks time and mite well pull on the boots if things can be worked out...haha and DOONA i think darren milburn and jason johnson are a better chance returning than Nick Monaghan lol

I knew I woulda got close I had heard my old SDJFL foe Stilly's name mentioned would be handy indeed as would young Wright who looked real good in his short stint I think 2 years back.
