i've never seen a more aroused man than i did last night in the pickles.

seriously - he had a grin from ear to ear, like he'd just lost his virginity. the attention he was receiving from you mob and outsiders alike - he was feeling like a god.

i'm pretty sure his flag was at half mast throughout the day and he did retire to his room quite early.

becoming a very confident young man is the pickles - watch out ladies, he'll start to think he's invincible soon and take you all on.

watch out mrs cornish - i think he's coming after your man too.

I would love to be involved on Bowen Medal night but I will not be putting the league best and fairest over anyone's neck. Even if I was offered I do not have the credentials to fulfill such an honour. Maybe I could do a season review on the night? Who knows?

As for your comments Disco, I did enjoy all the feedback I received yesterday, both positive and negative. A certain football administrator from a neighbouring league wasn't too happy with the article. Mrs Cornish has nothing to worry about, but some of the local ladies better watch out!

Would rather see Mike Lyon do it.. Think he is a little more accurate :D:p

'Filthy" Phil Conway would have to be a show as well. Has rarely, if at all, been beaten this year.

local ladies, want some numbers pickles?

Don't want your seconds Van, I'm going pretty well at the moment. Don't need numbers just yet. I'll let you know if things dry up though.

As for your comments IMS, rumour has it Mike Lyon has sources on the inside. I'm not sure if the great man would be willing to get up on stage as it mean revealing himself, we might have to get a mask! :D

Top 5 for the Bowen..

Bonnici (SK)
Bellville (Ri)
M.McInerney (SK)
Robertson (K)
J.Allen (Ri)

I'm of a similar view IMS.

My top five would be:

Bonnici (SK) - By a mile
Belleville (Ri) - About seven votes off the pace
Robertson (K) - Close third
M. McInerney (SK) - Close fourth
L. Kemp (K) - Few votes behind for fifth.

Disapointed in the lack of knowledge shown by a few so called experts in this league in reference to Woodend FC players. Else has had a poor season and has been tried in variuos positions, Johno has never played on a wing in his life and even though you might want to fit him in he must be on ball or on bench (akin to Pavlich being picked at FB a few years ago when he never played a game there), Stace started year well but has dropped due to injury and fitness level, Dowling been good but not sure about Team of Year.
Hardwick been best defender all year, Sipthorpe would have to make it in even after missing firsst 8 weeks & Banger Donovan (gun) will probably win their B & F yet no-one has mentioned him.
So come on experts dont just stick to players you know have been good in past, look closely at their form this year.

If you're such an expert Roy put your side up. Johnno could play on a wing or a flank and still be sensational. Else has been good in the three Hawks games I've seen this year and Donovan didn't do much in two of the three matches. Stacey started with a bang and was in your best on Saturday, his first game back. Dowling is up there in the goalkicking and is probably leading the comp in goal assists so I have no idea what you're talking about. Sipthorp could make a late charge but can't be included at this stage.

Had Hardwick in my side without Roos players, then left him out in a reshuffle, Dowling has been superb this year, dont doubt that, Matt Stacey's form warrants the pick as the 2nd ruckman, Donovan was close, but I prefer Johno on the bench to him. Sippy will more than likely make the side. But we are picking it right now, as it stands, with 4 more games the sides could change.. By the way, the sides are picked by that person's opinion, if you have a different opinion, so the call of "lack of knowledge" is pretty harsh, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Yu have a user name, you know how to post, put your side in... :D

By the way, welcome to the RDFL forum :thumbsu:

Probably a fair statement billy boy, my only issue is who do I leave out?? These guys all played exceptional football against the Roos?? In defence, I never really saw much of Ryan against us...

Stongly agree Roy:thumbsu:

Without trying to be biased, I would have thought that Warren Kairns of Romsey would be by far the best full back in the league although Pickles seems to think Else is the man for the job. That is the second time he has put him in in front of Kairns. As I recall Kairns was the Full Back of the year last year? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, tuff call on Connellan not getting a birth as the ruckman. He has been clearly the dominant ruckman of the year, not just in the middle or at stoppages but taking the big contested marks around the ground. Apart from that I pretty much agree with all of those selected.
