Matty,
Do you have the complete reserves voting as well??

what happend to having the entire votes on a sheet at the count last night to see who got what votes in what round?
wornt you working on that matty????
went home a bit early i noticed, and there was no girl on your arm as an excuse either!!!!!

good night had by all, but i think the major talking point was the major difference in the voting, im not having a go at the rockbank player but when the team losses to riddel by a bit you would have though that the riddell players would have polled all the votes, but not in that case?

BOG on the night was good matt, cam dawson, blind, stevey james, maybe we could call him "PETER HOARE" serial pest, he bailled up a few blokes last night for a good long chat.
and the 1 vote to the u18 moron who due to spewing his guts up all over his shirt had to resort to leaving the venue ion his (or his team mates ) inter leauge jumper, very poor form!!!!!

as for the winners well done!!!
rooster i think coogee is waiting for you, i think a ticket-tek parade is on the cards for your first night up there, plus i think they are giving you the keys to the town???

also i see that the votes for the bowen are up on the website, what about the other awards? 2's, 18's netball, buffalo awards ect, would be good to get the round by round votes.

please get off your ass mr nicholls and do some thing about this.......................

ps i tell u also matty you werent to far off the serial pest tag either with the book you were running, i know your just waiting for the age or the sun to call you up, but you could have laid off a bit asking everyone 3 times
"wanna have bit on the bowen???"

good nite had by all!!!!!!!!

what happend to having the entire votes on a sheet at the count last night to see who got what votes in what round?
wornt you working on that matty????
went home a bit early i noticed, and there was no girl on your arm as an excuse either!!!!!

Thanks BOG. But I made such a killing last night it was worth the nagging. I'll put in a request for the other round by round votes, but not today, the league exec are tired and have gone home for the day.

As for leaving early, I was in here at 7am this morning champ giving the public the scoop. No need to bring ladies to the Bowen either, they only get in the way :D

Well done to all the winners!
There's more confusing issues than that. For example, Guy Donovan just 3 votes even though he's comprehnsively beaten some of the best midfeiders in the comp including breaking even with Bonnici in the game at Woodend. Just shows hair styles and reputation still count for a lot in the league. Surprised he didn't get a mention ( at the very least on the bench) of the team of the year! Scooter very stiff after taking a side to the top of the ladder (again) with quite a few young blokes and after a few of his more experienced players left! Teams and players who yell the loudest in this league still get heard.
Well done to the Kangaroos coach on winning coach of the year but Scooter is on the verge of back to back flags in his 2nd year of coaching. "Stiff" is an understatement !

I would not read to much into a popularity contest.

* Tom Sankey was an equal winner of the Bowen Medal 1967, but was reported that year. At the time, players who were reported were deemed ineligible. He was awarded a retrospective Bowen Medal when the rules were changed at a later year.
They're you go son !

I would not read to much into a popularity contest.

SOUR GRAPES!!!!! What has been done at that club is way above only what you now see at the ground level. From a person who was not around the club for a long time and to recently start being a bit more regular, the changes around the place are huge. I'm sure this would have hugely worked in his favour when it comes to this award. Just as I am sure that there are many other people behind the scenes who don't get a pat on the back every week the team has a win, who will know within themselves they helped him win the award. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
Call it a popularity contest if you like but it is the first time I have heard anybody call the KANGAS popular with this league.

i know everyone will shirt front the issue but i know for a fact that many ppl around this league knew bonacci was 1 vote behind belleville and robertson was 3 votes behind belleville coming into the last game, i know you hear rumors but i dont think its a rumor when its narrowed down to the exact margin,

belleville was actually one vote behind bonnici.
otherwise he would have won it.

thats how it finished, if you read i said coming into the last round, i.e before the last round, pre last game, theres 18 rounds so that would mean after round 17;)

So one can only assume you must have cleaned up on the betting.
Hey Matt, seeing everyone new who was going to win you must be short of cash. I know how you can make a quick 50.

Matt N - could you post the last 15 Bowen Medal winners?

as ive said in an earlier post that it is a shame that so many ppl knew the results and not only that- knew it down to how many votes they won by, i hope in the future it can be handled in a more professional manner, i know everyone will shirt front the issue but i know for a fact that many ppl around this league knew bonnicci was 1 vote behind belleville and roberson was 3 votes behind belleville coming into the last game, i know you hear rumors but i dont think its a rumor when its narrowed down to the exact margin, anyways all pete has to say is poor form by those who couldnt keep there mouths closed
oh and whats it called when you take bets when you already know the results....???

one last thing, definately dont take anything away from bonnicci, watched many sunbury games this year and he was outstanding, congrats:thumbsu:

Well done to the Kangaroos coach on winning coach of the year but Scooter is on the verge of back to back flags in his 2nd year of coaching. "Stiff" is an understatement !

Quick IMS turn the Dick Head Magnet off ! Thread all full up now.

well done to all winners and runner up
now we get down to the weekend finals what a big game between riddle and sunbury kangaroos this saturday.riddle as far as i am concerned riddle are going to out score the kangaroos by about 40 points because i think the kangaroos are not up to riddle's standard.riddle are a far better side than the kangaroos riddle give 100 minutes of football and do not give up untill the final siren

Coaches all vote on who should be awarded, some believe it should be the premiership coach.(bit hard when it is awarded before the GF). Maybe who finishes on top should get it.
If all coaches take on board ladder positions from last year to this year, who has improved the most? I think it would be Sunbury, Romsey and Kilmore, Rowsell has done a great job at Riddell, to lose 6 or 7 players, recruit and promote the kids and only lose 1 game is a great effort.

:thumbsu: Congratulations to Jarrod, he has done a great job over the past 3 years.
The roos are still in the finals, who knows, it could be the premiership coach  well i hope so anyway.

thats quite a "riddle"

In this blokes opinion,to mention the past in a coach of the (current) YEAR is not valid. No doubt a potential "threepeat" and taking back to back as a personal coach is a great achievement yes. But the critics will be absolutely silenced if dixon can take his boys to the big one, quite frankly i wouldnt have been suprised if the rockbank coach got the award for actually coaching the rams off the bottom of the ladder let alone being a more than competitive 'cellar dweller' team in season '07 or even Simon Choate, for a lad his age to be as competive as lancefield have been this year has also been a feat in its own.

To put it simply,I think the award could have went to quite a few canditates, but dixon was a worthy winner overall. Some were "stiff" ... but it isnt an understatement.

Run to your boyfriend when things are posted you don't like!! At least we know who wears the skirt in the relationship.

Didtn't the Riddell coach out coach the Sunbury coach by more than 100 points this year. Yeah they really got this one right!

Come on kings, are you not even willing to reserve your judgement until the end of the year? Do you really think a coach out coaching the other can be 100 point difference, i think players would have to make up for quite a large portion of that.
In alot of peoples eyes we will see the coach of the year in 3 weeks. Lets wait until then.
Kings why just criticise 1 out of 23 in the team of the year, Have a crack at the whole side yourself. Let us all see how wrong or right you may get it.

I'm NOT suggesting there has been any betting scandal whatsoever; however i have to back up Pete’s Pie on this one. I was told before the count (on Sun) who would win and what would happen in the last round. There has definitely been a leak, and the league should be a tad embarrassed. I know it's not the Brownlow but for future credibility of the medal (calling the result), and just overall anticipation on the night it shouldn't happen again! I know there's a few people being coy on this one as i'm aware of few people and posters that knew this was the case!
