Thanks for that. My young bloke has played 10's, 12's & 13's interleague and wasn't named in 14's squad but then neither was anyone else from his club which is in the A's. Yet there are 3 players from a worse team than his and players from B division as well! Sour grapes. Probably. Anyway I am wondering if the club has let his team down by not nominating anyone for the squad?

Not sure who nominates for trial day probably would be clubs, unfortunately some clubs commitee don't nominate if (their kids) aren't in that age group or good enough. Unlike Darley not to nominate though.

Did not expect to see the current ladder positions 4 games in!!! Here's my predictions for the next few weeks;
Sunbury will crack and lose their next 2 games which will drop them back into the race for finals. Just cant imagine them finishing in top 2.

Solid finals appearance last year by the Kangas and looking a serious flag threat and for me equal flag favourites with Woodend but lets not get carried away lads. It's only May remember and we've seen it all before . . . . a bad run of injuries or a strong bout of illness sweeps thru and it can all go pear shaped pretty quick.

Looking the good early though :thumbsu:

Doona, definately not getting carried away, it is a long season. just like to see some people eating their words.
Woodend do have about 4 or 5 guns still to come in.

At our club the coaches usually put forward players for the 13's and 14's from 15's onwards the league tend to keep players from the 14's then the Cannons tend to look at the players that are in these squads.

You have the right, I expect, to ask your club about the selection process.

Where are you lining up tomorrow X_Box_X ? In the magoos or in the game at 2:00pm ? The Rams are a realistic chance to win both 1's and 2's for the first time in quite a while. Not sure about the 18's but they will continue to improve :thumbsu: . I asked you (X_Box_X) about any rumours last Sunday about your potential new coach. Has any coaches been mentioned ? I thought Shane Geddes would be worth chatting to. As he knows the comp and has a pretty good record with the younger players.

Well done guys on your first win for the year in the 1's. Good to see Mick Taylor named BOG no doubt its the quickest that #24 ever moved for the Rams :p !

good to hear the Rams got a win on the board! Hopefully you guys can string couple more togther only 2 games outside the 5! Sounds funny!

Good game saturday at Boardman, with one of the quickest and evenly matched games of football i have been apart of! The skills and the pace were outstanding from both sides! One of the best wins i have been associated with to!

OM28 is a Diggers man so more than likely sucking his thumb in the corner wondering where the next win will come from! Start organising an early footy trip boys.

Long long way to go yet, and much too early to write off the Burra....

IMS what were the key stats from Saturday's game for both sides?

Kangaroos struggled to convert after going inside 50 missing some relatively easy shots at goal.
The midfield's were pretty even getting the ball.. Salpy looked dangerous early before being shut out of the game, ditto for Darko who was taking everything early before Leighroy shut him down.. Overall it was a fantastic game of footy, young Shippard is pure talent, the Hawks did a good job on Garth, think the Roos midfield just came out on top in the end which made the difference.

What a great game of footy on Saturday @ Boardman. Quick tempo, good skills across the whole ground, and thrilling finish. Cant ask for more .....( except for maybe the 4 points)

Congrats to all involved.:thumbsu:

RDFL is definately alive and healthy. Cant wait til that day in Sept.

1st option always!

Great to see Rockbank get a win on the board!! Well done guys, watched you against Romsey the week before and thought even though Romsey were the better side, you guys showed plenty of guts. A great effort!!

Seems the Roos could be the real deal? Or will the bubble burst in the next few weeks? A good side, but can't quite rate them as serious contenders, sorry boys, albeit a long year ahead to prove me wrong!!

Kilmore, overatted, or underdone? Anyone?

Lancefield, a good win against Centrals in Melton, well done.

Riddle are still the side to beat.

Harry... Rightly so Riddell should be the team to beat! If everyone think's that we "Could" be the read deal then thanks for the encouragement, but however, no one in their right mind would doubt Riddell!

Like i said beware of the sleeping giant, we are in 3rd gear and happy to be like that until the end of year when its required!

Any one of the 7 suides on the ladder in descending order could make a finals apperance, and the moto goes , "You got to be in it, to win it"!

We'll wait till Riddell to make any sort of judgement on our season thus far, Woodend put a good case forward and i personally believe they are the best w ehave played thus far!

Matt Stace however is bigger to Woodend this year more than Mick Lacy in 2006! Lacy was lazy at times last year, however Matt covers just as much ground as the blokes he taps it down to! Like to see how he polls at the end of the year!

Wonder were Diggers would be on the ladder had they aquired the services of Bryden Morgan this year, would they be 1-5 still or would they be 5-1? Very interesting debate, this could be? Diggers seem to lack a dominant forward to take control of a game! However i don't doubt Payne will get them in motion soon!

On the theory of BM possibly being the difference for the Burra TBR, they must still be rated a massive show when Simsy gets right, Bev Green gets back and Payney finds form, just to name a few. Don't think for one minute that Diggers don't have the players to turn this season around very quickly. Morgan is a high quality player that would have assisted Diggers, but the guys who have taken them to last years GF deserve some credit too.
