I won't be accepting money on this, but the market would look something like this:

Riddell $1.80
Sunbury Kangaroos $2.10
Woodend-Hesket $2.10
Romsey $10
Kilmore $15
Diggers Rest $15

who would be your tip for coach of the year so far..? its only early but there would be a few coaches who have put their name up. i believe it should go to the coach who wins the flag althou this hasnt happened in recent years..

Its a tough call because most coaches could make a stake for the honour. Chris Collins would be a worthy winner, but no more worthy than Roswell, Dixon and Giddings. Its a pretty hard award to give in,

Do you need IMS to hold your hand????[/quot

NAIDOC game next Saturday, Sunbury Kangaroos Vs Romsey at Boardman Oval 3.

A tribute to the contribution from Indigenous players to our game.

Ceremony will start straight after the Reserves game.

What involved in the ceremony IMS!

Is this something the RDFL has never seen the like sof before, and what should we install ourselves for?

A great game of footy to follow, just think we should put it out their a little more!!

It will be advertised fully... Dont worry about that...

I'll be there tonight with notebook and camera. Just make sure they all have Kangaroos' guernseys. If you could round up an indigenous flag IMS that would be lovely too!

Done and Done.. 5.45 at training Matt

I'll get the tips rolling this week
Diggers just over romsey
Kangaroos by 5 goals against macedon Ploog to kick 5
Riddel by 5 points over woodend Sipthorpe to get bog
Kilmore 6 goals over lancefield
Rockbank 1 goal over central

Massive round of RDFL football

Romsey Vs Diggers Rest
The Redbacks form has been scratchy at best over the past couple of weeks. The form of Dawson and Burlak last week would be a positive but they need a more consistent performance across the field. Brydon Morgan always steps up for the Diggers games and will be the key.
The Burra were unlucky to lose last week, up all day just to be pipped, expect them to come out firing, but the Burra are running out of chances. A loss this week against an out of form Romsey might almost signal the end.
Diggers by 5 pts

Sunbury Kangaroos Vs Macedon
The Roos were lucky in their win last week and will need to start stepping up in the next few weeks toward the finals. The Roos need to get back into stride and will be hoping that the 2nd half last week will start that off.
The Cats have been improving and the youngsters have been solid, the form of Christianson has been good and the Cats will look to take another step this week.
Roos to win.

Kilmore Vs Lancefield
The Blues have been in great touch the past few weeks, the return of Hede and Straney have strenthened them as has the return of Barton. Cornish is the in form forward in the comp right now and with Robbo returning to form the Blues are looking good.
The Tigers got a win under the belt last week and will look to string a couple together here. Choate is still a star week in week out and Collins is in good form.
Kilmore by 30pts

Rockbank Vs Melton Central
The battle for the spoon.
The Rams have shown some good touch over previous weeks, the return of Krul has been a huge boost and Luke Walker has been super. Can the Rams turn that form into a win.
Centrals have good form against top sides but have struggled against the lower sides. Wheelahan is in the top bracket of players in the comp, but needs support. Bullen is a star, but has he done enough this year? Probably not yet.
Upset here.
Rockbank by 15pts

Match of the Round
Riddell Vs Woodend/Hesket
Clearly match of the round. Riddell get themselves up for these games. The Riddell stars have fired this year, but it is the young guns that continue to put the Bombers in the position they are in. Climas, Petran, Leitch and Box have all had stellar seasons and will need to put in another big one for the Hawks.. Scooter, play Climas on Sippy please, would be the match up of the year IMO...
The Hawks have been getting the job done week in week out while getting run into the late starters in Ng and Sippy. Johnno is still the cog and the key to the Hawks side, Barker returning strenghtens the Hawk forward line.
Riddell by 8pts.

I had just submitted Harry's Weekly tips with a full run down of each game as I normally do, pressed the submit button and my PC crashed.

It was one of my better run downs too.:D

Anyway at least now you don't have to read my rubbish. Here's my tips:

Roos by 8 goals
Romsey by 18 points
Rockbank by 10 points
Riddell by 25 points
Kilmore by 6 goals

Good luck to everyone pulling them on this weekend:thumbsu:

Harry's Weekly Tips (Take Two)

Given I've already supplied my tips, I will just provide the weekly run down.

Romsey V Diggers Rest

With much debate about the form of the Burra, it's my opinion that they are not to be taken lightly and can rise to any challenge on any given day. Despite their apparent lack of form they will be fired up this week following a demorilising 1 point loss against the Roos last week. Romsey, another out of form side, will gain a lot out of last weeks hard fought win over a very determined Centrals. This one will be won on the middle. Romsey's onballers will need to contain Simms' first use of the pill in the guts if they are going to give their fowards best opportunity.

Riddell V Woodend Hesket

As IMS pointed out earlier, MATCH OF THE ROUND!! And rightly so. I am rueing the fact this game couldn't be re-scheduled to Sunday as I'm sure this is going to be one of the best Home and Away matches this year. This game won't be won just be the experienced lads, but these two sides also have an equally impressive young brigade. This is a collective head to head clash that will have a massive impact onthe reult of the game. The Bombers will be determined to gain back the loss they dropped to the Hawks earlier in the year and the Hawks will be just as fired up to notch up another big scalp. The fact this game is played at Riddell is a huge bonus for the Bombers, on the other hand, the return of Barker for the Hawks is sure to cause some unrest in the Bombers defence, good luck Ashy!!

Sunbury V Macedon

The Roos, IMO, seem to have dropped their pace a little of late, but hey, don't get me wrong, these guys are still a genuine contender. Having said that, the fact that Helmers, McInerny and Niki are playing against their old side will spark a bit of personal excitement for these guys and we all know what can happen to opposition sides when these 3 are excited, bad things!! Macedon's young guys will have a real go, but I don't think they will be able to match the physical presence of the afore mentioned Roos boys, especially in the wet.

Rockbank V Centrals

Wheelan is a genuine superstar with the amount of the ball he gets his hands on. He gets in the middle, down back and most importantly for Melton, he crumbs the forwards and makes the opposition pay in front of goal. Rockbank, from all reports, are showing some real gusto and character. Fantastic to hear. I really think that these 2 sides will match up well. Rockbank will fire themselves for the neighbourly clash, as I think they may have been waiting for this game to secure their second win of the year.

Kilmore V Lancefield

With the in form Cornish and Robbo coming back into the side, Kilmore will be hard to beat. Lancefield will have their work cut out if they are going to get anywhere near the blues. The ever present Choate, Collins and Conway will always give the Lancefield faithfull something to hold onto. Watch out for the run of Sam Graham, he can be damaging. It's my belief that Kilmore will close the door on any of Lancefield's faint finals hopes. I think the likes of Kemp will be too smart for Lancefield's forwards and running the ball out of defence will be a breeze. Sorry Jowblow, Kilmore just too good.
