Harry would like to send a breif message to WW from Frankston.

Dear Sir,

Whilst we appreciate your attendance at what was scheduled to be a blockbuster game, and I can appreciated that you have invested your time (in travel, however you got there) and your hard earned money to get through the gate, it is far from necessary to pot the whole league. I think most will agree that the standard was below par, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ON A WET DAY??? Not 20kms down the road in Romsey, the rain had not effected the ground and the result was a great standard of footy. The lead changed several times and the spectators well and truly got their $6 worth.

I guess it is just bad luck as to which game you picked to go and see, and I had actually wanted the Riddell/Woodend clash rescheduled for the Sunday so everyone could go and see it, thankfully it didn't happen. Perhaps the result and the style of footy says something about the top 2 sides in our league, neither could play clean footy due to the conditions and the surrounding pressure from the opposition.

Whilst I don't agree with some of the earlier posts, in that perhaps you spend your time robbing grannys or stealing cars, it is becoming more apparent that you don't think about all aspects prior to gobbing off on the RDFL thread. Please, by all means, keep having an opinion on the happenings of our league, just try to remember that there are a lot of different factors that go into the result or standard of a game. WISE UP WW or **** OFF:thumbsu:

Sorry guys, Harry's MAD:mad:

This guy would have stood out at the ground no doubt!

No teeth, standing next to a bin, wearing something similar to what most of us have put into charity bins, with moccys on! Car would have been stolen and he would have been asking for money all day, his 10 kids would trying to steal other cars @ the game, whilst drinking left over beer out of cans!

WW, you have other issue's to be sorting out right now! Think commenting on football games 100k away is the least of your worries.......

I think this shows us all that 1 of our Tribunal members has had unprotected sex down Frankston way ![/quote)i think these personal attacks are weak as p1ss this thread needs to be cleaned up a bit this bloke came to the footy and is only giving his opinion. because he doesnt follow sunbury or macedon he will probably kicked off by ims anyway.

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to the league so I don't know the ins and outs but thought I might have a crack giving my view on a few areas of interest of mine. The Wadden incident had people potting everyone from the player, to Riddell itself for putting up an excellent defense, to the umpires for being precious and then finally to the Tribunal where it looks like a concensus has developed.

But really why shouldn't incidents like this carry a mandatory penalty? Theres not much leeway between cases (you either say it or you don't) and its not like you can put up too many creative defenses apart from pleading guilty to actually doing it or outright denying that it happened. Whilst it looks like the excellent plea bargaining skills from the club have reduced the sentence, why can't we have a minimum of say 3 weeks, whereby the tribunal can only go up depending on severity rather than down depending on the bargaining skills of the club?

Just a thought but would instantly solve any issues like this occuring again.

WW went to a game between Riddell and Woodend, what does that have anything to do with Macedon or Sunbury, I have played in a few leagues around victoria and the standard of footy is much the same to the RDFL of recent years if not worse. whats wrong with sticking up for a league that has done so much to improve (exept the tribunal) its ways and trying to attract more quality players back to make the league even stronger.
People need to get over the fact that the league had a bad patch for a few years but can only grow back to as big or bigger than it once was.

IMS, don't get sucked into retaliating to this:thumbsu:

Having said that, I agree! The personal attacks are pretty bloody weak. I put in a post earlier stating my distain for attacks on the league based on the observations of one game. I also went on to tell WW that he needs to "Wise up or **** Off". This is a far as it should go. We are all on here under alias' and some think that hiding behind these and making personal remarks is either funny or entertaining. Ok, some are pretty funny, but let's get back to footy. WW came on here with an opinion and was shot down pretty quickly, and rightly so in some senses, I mean you shouldn't come onto league's thread and gob off the way he did, of course someone was going to get their back up. Still, no matter where they come from, how heavy they are, etc. they're entitled to an opinion.

Harry's starting to get a little too deep. It must be lunch time. I'm hungry and irritable.:D

i just had a look at all your previous posts howzat.you arent one for flattering posts.also u have a habit of calling people cats and sheepdogs etc.very easy behind an alias.perhaps u should keep your positive posts on the bendigo thread and stop being so concerned about the rdfl thread.
you were happy 2 mention my name recently on this thread in a cowardly way, give us your name so we have a chance 2 respond 2 a name rather than a alias:thumbsdown:

I think what you'll find is that people who frequent this thread actually want to stick up for their league. Some tool comes on and slings sh1t accross the whole league based on one game in terrible conditions gets them fired up.

On your statement re IMS, I've never hidden my support for Lancefield, but I've never been kicked off. It's not IMS' fault a large number of Sunbury guys get on here.

It makes me laugh how everybody on this thread states that the umps are thin skined. when it comes to abuse.
When ever somebody comes onto our thread and pots our league or gives his/her opinion, they are bashed to death.
Let them bag or put us down, it is all of us, that are involved in this league that know the standard, where its been, what it was and where it's going.
Good Luck to them.
RDFL Footy has a big future, and is fast closing the gap on other leagues.:thumbsu:

Welcome dirty harry:thumbsu:

Good post. 3 is a bit harsh i think personally, and as we saw from grub's suspension and the discussion it caused amongst our fellow posters.
I think 1 week or reprimand for first offenders and harsher penalties thereafter.

Rumour on the Essendon DFL thread that Sunbury Lions Seniors & Juniors may be on the move to EDFL B grade next season. If this happens how much will it effect RDFL seeing as travel distances won't be as far as Ballarat and people might want to try the EDFL?

Woodward08, you must be annoyed hitch hiking all that way to Riddell to watch a team that players from the club your directly involved in left,
then again the way Kyneton are going I can maybe understand why you would make the effort to check out an RDFL game. seeing you may one day end up in our league. thats not at all putting the BFL down in any way either

lets get back to this weeks games. Which teams will be struggling with injuries and reports this week. Any news from all clubs on their line-ups? I know some teams will be struggling without some players not lining up. thoughts...

You hear about this rumour every single mid/end of year at sunbury ... I dont see the parents taking their kiddies all the way to essendon just to play a game of footy when theyve got about 5-6 teams within 15 mins of each other which is totally ideal. So itll be a battle to make it happen .. but Ill believe it when i see it ..the poor juniors will cop a thumping too i reckon, EDFL junior is very dominant. RDJFL vs EDJFL reserve side RDJFL still copped a walloping ... Could imagine what will happen if they moved over there. So basically, i think there is too much going against them but ill save any other opinions for the ballarat thread

couldnt agree more here with what mongrel has said although only a relatively necomer to bigfooty have been following it for quite a while and nothing that howzat brings to the table is even worth reading just to pass on a little info for all other readers howzat has called people gutless snipers ,accused people of king hitting from behind on and off the field, called people thugs,c***suckers,d***heads and deadset chokers, and a member on here posts a comment(and a rather funny one at that !) and you call him weak as ***** for taking pot shots from behind a alias ! one word for you howzat HYPOCRITE ! im sure im not alone on this one but if your not going to post anything positive or worth while reading stay off the thread.

Guys, the naming of the tribunal members isn't acceptable, the convo is all good but keep it clean on the naming side of things... Thanks :thumbsu:

Why should their names be a secret, (A.F.L.arent).
Their names should be made public & at least that way they would be accountable.

I'm going to call their Leader the one with the Self esteem issues, Jetson.. George Jetson from now on if he is so secretive & precious about his Inept Handy Work.

however naming these people is irelivant, I don't know anywhere else the tribunal members sre secret. What we must realise is if we all tell our presidents and comitee we are not happy, the are the people to write a letter to the right people to make changes. Yes we all know our tirbunal has been full of siht lately. Yes we all know people will get on this thread and bag our league. Yes we all know people will make personal attacks from behind an alias. However I read this thread to find out info about our league and not just bitching. I am sure most people will agree that thewre is fun to be had but lately 90% of posts are giving no relevent information, and if that is what i wanted i would read my inbox about all the shares ready to go up 300%. Great forum guys lets make an effort to keep it that way and talk MAINLY RELEVANT football talk.:thumbsu:

Well said, it is up to clubs to raise any issues with the relevant people and following the correct procedures. The league is improving on everything. and slowly getting all the creases iorned out.

A man that sets 3 goals in one year and succeeds all of them is a success.
A man that sets 10 goals but only gets 3 done is considered a failure.
Dont bite off more than you can chew.
Small steps, one year at a time, look at what they have done so far.

This week match of the round Sunbury Vs Romsey
Here we go again the roos still need to prove to some that they are not just good at the start of the year, and Romsey just plodding away with some good wins under their belt, and still looking to prove they are a danger to the top sides.
Who will the conditions suit?
Predicted to be wet, cold and miserable, romsey training on one of the best surfaces in the comp, will move to sunbury to play in the mud.
The ground is pretty chopped up after all the rain, but, the surface will be rolled today provided the rain holds off this morning, and should pull up well, except for a couple of areas.
Still with injuries but showing the depth.
Roos to win

Macedon to get within 4 goals of Riddell at Macedon in the mud/snow!
Sources tell me riddell a few out and conditions might suit the cats!
