Harry's Happenings

Well, it's that time of the week again when Harry gets his thinking cap on gives averyone a piece of his mind!!

.

Riddell v Romsey - MATCH OF THE ROUND

This game is set to be an absolute ball tearer!! The Redbacks are always very competitive on Riddell's ground and this week should be no different. If the Redbacks can do the unthinkable and knock off the Bombers, it will give them a red hot crack at third spot and a double chance in the finals. I'm unsure of where Billylid got his information from, but I would expect Morgan to play this week. The battle will be won in the middle. Belville and Blade v McLellan and Morgan. This should be an absolute cracker, along with Connellan v Burnett in the ruck. There is no denying the Bombers dominance of the league this year with solid performers all across the ground. The Redbacks will need to nulify the Bomber's goal kicking options if they are to come away with a win. Look out for Warren Kairns on Michael Allen. Harry's Tip: Romsey by 5 points.

from the horses mouth is where i heard it from

Feel the tension in the air with finals just around the corner....

My tips for the second last round of the year.

Hawks - 8 goals
Kangas - 10 goals
Diggers - a goals
Kilmore - 15 goals
Riddell/Romsey a draw

yeah exactly romsey beat us by about 8 goals or so, but had a talk to the president and vice president tonight about tuesdays meeting and what they said it is that a whole new committee that will be coming in at our agm in about a months time and then we'll go from there. so there hasnt been any decisions set in concrete yet as they said they cant make a decision on behalf of the club as they wont be here next yr. the whole club will have to decide where to go once their is a new committee in place.

Apparntly at the meeting the junior committe all said that they would be stepping up to the senior committe and that they would not look at going back to RDFL.

Think the Pro RDFL Wallan lobby group should start marshalling their troops & force a vote at the AGM, & keep in mind boys that its all about the NUMBERS !

Round 17 Tips.

Woodend - Easy.

Kangas - Easy.

Diggers - Easy.

Kilmore - By 20+ Goals !

& Riddell - To just do enough to get over the line.

Good luck all, CANT WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER !

Juniors have had a pretty good year this year. Playing Div 3 they have the under 15's, 13's and 10's in the grand final this Sunday. The 17's lost last week in the prelim. They also had 2 or 3 win there age groups BnF in the league and a couple came runner up also, And had 2 people win the goal kicking. Hopefully all these juniors stick around and play seniors in what ever league we are in.

yeah the junior club were a big player in going to the dvfl in the first place. with the junior club u have to remember they are playing div 3, they went up to div2 last yr and couldnt compete thus being relegated back into divi3 this year. But even saying so hopefully some of these juniors stick around and become good senior players in the next few years. hey iceman will u be putting ur hand up for the new committee at the agm?

I was on the committee for 3 years but decided to have a break from it this year. Still not 100% sure if I will go back on it next year but most likely will.

Riddell 18.17 Def' Romsey 7.5

Bellville another 3 votes for sure, Petran unstoppable up forward with 7.5.

Reserves game a ripping contest lead changing many times, Riddell just edged in front at the final siren to win by a goal.

In the 18s Romsey beaten in an upset by 5 goals.

In a massive day for Lancefield the Tiges upset Sunbury by 3 points. Nothing like a big scalp towards the end of a tough year to boost the feeling around the place.

joeblow just back it up next week if you could please!
With the footy played by Lancefield today there is every chance the Tiges will have a big impact on the shape of the 5. More importantly it's a great sign for the future of the club. We're not far away. 6 under 18's players played today.

Congrats JB sounds like you blokes had a great day, was our own Mr Nicholls in attendance ? If so I guess we will be in for one hell of a match review from him whilst his member is still throbbing from the Elation of it all !
