I would probably say quite a few...
But 200 doesnt go into 50...
Just waiting for the "you are so biased" comments to come spilling out.. Wont be too far away..![]()
No I like the fact you now have to preface all your posts with "Its just my opinion" ! ( well DA )
& If I see another Definition of my handle on here I think I am gunna scream !
Memo Everyone - Mongrel really aint a dog, Grubby3 isnt an unwashed person & I am definitely not God !
You could'nt fit Cam Dawson in pal ? Thought he has really stepped up this season ?
Close, if it had of been for more of the season then yes, just think it was only after he was switched to the midfield near the end of the year that he really stepped up to the levels he reached.

Congrats' on your clubs big win on Sunday too mate, really thought we were over the line.
What did you think of No 17 Ben Sonogans game for Riddell ?
Stood tall in our forward line & takes a lovely grab, kid may have a big future ahead of him & could be the answer to our deep forward needs ?

I was very surprised he didn't get into the best 6, i thought he was very good. In the first quarter i thought that he would hurt us all day. just kept running all over the place, he will keep the back man on thier toes in the next few years.

What about the crowd up there I am told there could have been as many as 5000 people at any given time.
The RDFL is really on the move ! Scotty McCartney, Alan Mathews & the boys down at the Big House are really to be congratulated on a fantastic job this season.
Does anybody have any tribunal results from Grand Final Day?
Did Wadden retire this year?
With a few weeks already up his sleeve, will he go close to the 16 week rule.
I'm told that he accepted a one-week suspension for his second quarter hit, and that he wasn't reported late in the last quarter. Haven't spoken to the umps but I believe they were not 100% certain on who hit who. (I was at the other end so couldn't tell). Last time I heard there was an investigation into the incident, with results unknown to me at this stage.
Guy Donovan will go very close to winning the hawks B&F. Thought he could sneak in..
Hey WoodyGreat effort IMS but you undid all your good work by not slotting Guy Donovan in. Before I start, I’d like to declare that I’m not related to him in any shape or form but believe that my sentiments will be shared by most who watch Banga play week in week out. Yes the coaching staff do rate him at Woodend, but that's only because he went head to head on some of the best (well known to umpires) players in the league and did his job (either broke even or comprehensively beat them)-not as a tagger but head to head including your own Bonnici (Bonnici won first half, Guy won second) at our ground, McLellan at Romsey to name a couple. In most games this year and nearly all the important ones he had the most clearances of any of our players and the inside 50's. I'd love to see (if each club took stats) how many players sit higher than him on those two stats, which are surely two of the most important stats for onballers in our league. I agree that Bang will most likely take out the B&F and although as bias as i am, most who watched him play this year friend or foe would have him firmly in the top ten ahead of fellow onballers Mark Mc, Robbo and Sims (all terrific players). Unfortunately we still rate guys too highly on their style of play rather than attributes that i rate onballers on i.e hardness at ball, performance at a stoppage and here's one than not many onballers do well in our league-ACCOUNTABILITY!-Banga ticks the box for all three! The biggest joke during our G.F celebrations (and for the year) was Guy who? It looks as if the joke may have to continue for another year!
I had him as Woodend-Hesket's third best player, behind Sippy and Johnno.
In effect at 17 I had him as the ninth best onballer this season behind Bonnici, Robbo, Belleville, Mark McInerney, Johnno, Sims, Choate and Blade.
Great to see Matt. However even you'd have to agree you jumped on him late in the season-wasn't much talk about him until much later in the season. In my humble opinion you've got your ranking of onballers completely wrong. Coles is the other onballer i rate highly and could jump ahead of a few the names mentioned above. Blade plays as much forward and wing as onball these days-never seen Sims or Robbo play a belter against us so dont have them up too high. Choate is a gun (only put that in because i know he reads this and loves seeing his name in the spotlight-Where were you Brownlow night mate?).
Nick hannett is also one of the class onballers in the league (not just because he won the medal), but was definitely the most important onballer during our whole finals campaign. Missed a good chunk of our season due to his O.S trip, so hard to rate his season-but has done more than most if not all those onballers-was top three in his B&F at Melton South something like five times. Out of the boys you mentioned this would be my order of whom i would pick as my onballers in the backyard (i'll keep the Woodend boys out at the risk of being called bias):
Bellville, Bonnici, Choate, Coles (throw him in-has been more important to Riddell than most would give credit for-Taken over Blueys role this year), Wheelahan, Matt Mc, Leigh Mc(bit like Coles very important to his team),Sims, Mark Mc, Robbo(know he's your love child Matt, but not mine-never plays on anyone-too many p's in the back half-can see why umpires love him),Aaron Christiansin (very good player like to see him a good side).
